Still a cop-out IMO, assuming we were in the catastrophic mess that the conservative party seems to be trying to convince people of. If PP is all that, he should be able to fix what’s wrong in 2 months, tops.

I think allowing too much low-skilled immigration and accepting foreign students, but not using the extra tuition they pay for creating new housing spaces.

Hey, super!
That’s all you think is wrong! The CPC will fix it, and I’m sure you will be a lifetime voter!
That was easy.

Sitting down with Jordan ####ing Peterson to give that egotistical narcissist publicity and income should immediately disqualify you from being PM for displaying shockingly poor judgement. Peterson exists to be laughed at. We all know that. Why doesn't PP?

Why is that?
Is it because it isn’t a problem? Or, is it because the Liberals will fix it before an election?

Ya, he's already secured them. My point is that rational Canadians should rightly see that PP does not possess the ability to lead Canada if he also believes Peterson is the type of person Government leaders should be talking to and boosting the profile of.
Peterson has the ability to spread his vile trash precisely because people have not done that. But I guess this is what the CPC has become.

The CPC, or PP are not really the issue, it’s that the alternatives are the apparently antisemite NDP or the current corrupt and incompetent Liberals.
I mean, PP could literally go on tv and shout “death to Canadians” and still be a better choice that he other two parties.

The Friday interview includes an ad from the group, PreBorn, seeking donations. It includes the story of a woman who tried to order an abortion pill but it never arrived "by God's design" and the group ultimately convinced her to give birth.

This is what the CPC leader is directly supporting financially, in case any people still are delusional enough to believe they aren't coming for women's rights the minute they get power.

There’s a bizarre section of the Poilievre interview where they both agreed that there was no racism before wokism. Now there’s rampant racism, as evidenced by a massive increase in hate crime. Someone’s going to have to square that circle for me.

NDP loyalists here in Alberta use the same excuse that 40 years of conservatives broke the system so much so that they couldn't do much to fix it.

I would recommend people watch the Peterson interview ( fast forwarding the commercials which are awful). It's friendly territory for conservative politicians and the long form format allows you to get a much better feel for where they stand and even who they are. It was the same when John Rustad sat down with him.
The 3 key things to remember when watching are, first, that this is a friendly interview without any push back like you'd get from a real journalist, second, that some of the areas of greater concern to those more left leaning will go unexplored entirely and, third (again) do anything you can to skip the commercials.
I found it enlightening, although with the strong caveat that it contained large gaps with respect to policy. Still, far more informative than the sound bites regular tv news coverage provides.

Are you just calling me a ####ing idiot, or are you calling the large number of Canadians that the polls suggest support the CPC ####ing idiots?
Either way, that’s not very nice.

I’d rather vote Bloc if they were ever an option outside of Quebec. PP really needs to do a nature walk, maybe it’ll help him recalibrate and gain a bit of clarity. He’s still a joke without any real world life experience or anything in common with any Canadians. You can save the whattaboutism, because this is about who the CPC should be offering up as a potential PM for Canadians, not some silly Trump bootlicker.
