sure, just look at the first half of the third period, that's how the team can play

Would love to see what a 50-year-old man that goes by O Dog would put together.

I'm glad Zayne wasn't associated with this mess.

I don't feel bad for the players. Half of them shouldn't even have been there, so the experience was found money for them.

Also, a lot of the poor play by the players were things that they should have had out of their game when they were 10 years old....it's not just a coaching issue.

I believe Jamieson is DuPonts partner in Everett right? Next year’s D for Canada:

Dickinson Parekh
Schaefer Mews
Jamieson Dupont

I don't understand the exhausted stuff? Why was this team so exhausted? Including relative to past WJC teams that did practice?

Jamieson is an 05' birthyear and as such won't be eligible.

Yeah but he's using that as an excuse to why they weren't practicing. Failure usually starts at the top and Cameron never put the players in position to succeed. I have to imagine this is the last we will see from him representing the country as he pretty well did almost everything wrong and nothing right. I can't recall such incompetence at a high level since maybe Benning in Vancouver or Chiarelli in Edmonton.

I’m personally not sure coaching was to mostly blame for this. The leadership chose subpar players. Sure coaching probably had a say in that but this was an undisciplined, mediocrely skilled team. It really reminded me of American players from a few years ago where they wanted to prove themselves to scouts and were selfish. Can definitely blame coaching for that but that’s very much on the players themselves.

I’ll be honest I find Mike Johnson to be an insufferable homer. Is he better than Pierre Maguire? Sure but that’s a low bar. Gord has been top notch PBP buy at this tourney for a long time. But he’s been cursed with terrible colour guys. He needs someone knowledgeable and passionate about the junior game without just being a team Canada cheerleader who ####s all over the tournament and officiating. I get the officiating can be suspect and I’m fine calling them out but Johnson is on another level.

Yeah. He’s a bit of a goof. Same boat as Colby Armstrong on Sportsnet. Always trying to use hockeybro phrases. Hard pass on them.

Ferraro was the best with Gord.

Who was the poster who wanted to bet this team would medal?

You owe CP a fat donation.

I was the guy who said this team won't medal. Someone said they would take that bet but I can't remember who. Not that we betted in anything but there was more than one poster who thought I was out to lunch on that prediction.

with Jamieson not eligible, just throw in Aitcheson at LHD and you're good to go. Or Tarin Smith, also from Everett.

Weird thing is, Canada seems absolutely loaded with RHD in that age bracket ... of the 12 defenseman that were picked in the top 100 last draft, 10 (!) were right-handed.

1-7 Carter Yakemchuk
1-9 Zayne Parekh
1-31 Ben Danford
2-36 Charlie Elick
2-44 Harrison Brunicke
2-59 Spencer Gill
3-73 Alexis Bernier
3-74 Henry Mews
3-86 Luca Marelli
3-89 Tomas Lavoie

only two were left-handed.

1-11 Sam Dickinson
3-79 Tarin Smith

Funny quirk. Usually you'd expect it to be the other way round.
