I love weegsy.

Hawks are a terrible organization and deserve to suck!

Matty with 18 points in 29gp and heating up with 7 points in his last 6.

The Bison is a beast.

Merry Christmas everyone

Is Hanley playing quietly and effectively out there with Weegar? Would he be worth a 4th at the TDL if he keeps this up?

Flames made it clser than it should have been. Still some growing pains.
Thankfully they still got the win.

Maybe a 6th or 7th, imo.

Flames REALLY need to learn how to counter a full-court pushback. Preferably by scoring a backbreaker.

Huberdeau is definitely playing his best hockey as a Flame. Could have had 4-5 points tonight. Unfortunate that he couldn’t finish on the penalty shot.

Coronato and Zary are having their coming out parties and it is fun to watch. Pelletier is close behind sneaking in points.

Haven’t been the biggest fan of the Anderson/Bahl pairing last few weeks but I think a break will help them recover. I don’t think either is used to playing 24+ minutes a game on a regular.

I generally don’t feel like the refs pick on certain teams, they’re equally incompetent for all the teams but man, really seems like a rebirth of The Wideman Effect lately.

Only was sorta watching wjile playing golf at a sim today, and we left at 5-1, so I was surprised when I turned on the radio and Bean was being interviewed about being in on the winning goal.

If I was in charge of the league I would have a 1 minute powerplay if a penalty shot misses.

Bean has really impressed me the last couple games. Hes playing with confidence and is generating quite a lot of good chances on that third pair. Some chemistry with Pachal, who is quickly becoming one of my favorites

Chicago was really bad the first two periods. I laughed when Hrudey said it was tough to find words to describe the lack of effort on D on that one goal. Good that they took advantage of it and held off the Hawks

Laughed as well at Coleman afterwards saying it was a holiday special and they made it exciting for the fans

Hope they enjoy the break and come out strong next Saturday against the mighty Sharks

The good news is whatever money people were hoping Kuzmenko would eat up for a contract next year can easily go to Coronato. He's starting to look like a guy who's going to be the Flames top scorer as early as next season.

Well the trade sucked, and still sucks. And I do know what you mean.

But winning doesn’t help a draft pick anyway and the more they win, the less awful it would be to drop down to Florida’s pick.

Great first 2 periods. Not so great 3rd.

Big win though. Great way to go into the break.

Coronato is by far the most improved player on the team. Looks nothing like the player from last year.

I had to review the conditions again because of how convoluted they are. If I’m reading it correctly there are 2 likely outcomes right now:

1) Flames and Florida both finish above the bottom 10 teams, Montreal gets the better of the 2 picks which will end up being Calgarys (more than likely)

2) Flames finish in the bottom 10 and Florida finishes above the bottom 10, Montreal gets Floridas pick.

That is a very poor management decision. You’re betting on your team to be bad and if/when your team exceeds expectations you’re punished by having a worse draft pick. I don’t know how much NHL players look at GMs actions but if that was something my boss did I would be deflated and frustrated.
