It's either that, or we could turn life and death decisions over to an algorithm, if we can somehow find a way to maximize shareholder return in this excercise.

That doesn't give you statistically reliable results, because not all CEO's are the same. Like the guy that just got shot, he was apparently kinda the worst, it was under his leadership that his company became literally the #1 insurance company in % of denied claims.

While the insurance companies tend to be ghouls, an equally big problem is the healthcare companies massively overcharging for their services and often doing unnecessary tests so they can charge for them... and a big reason this happens is exactly because most of the time there's an insurance company that's obligated to pay.
Then when the insurance companies fight back against the healthcare companies overcharging and overtreating, the end result is customers being denied coverage.
It's just an overall terrible system, where everyone is financially incentivized to be terrible.

I think all men are guilty of this - sending money to women we don't know for the heck of it. I do it all the time.

Looking forward to having this ethics report released now.

The health care firms also do a bunch of unnecessary/expensive testing to CYA in a system where if it turns out a test could maybe have caught something they get sued for millions.

I'm not sure how common it is but there are certainly women who ask their prospective dates to "treat" them to show interest. The lines between prostitute/sugar baby/traditional gold digger/trophy wife etc. are all a bit blurry.

I'd agree with that. The difference for Gaetz is the age of some of these girls. I believe the report will now be released this week, not sure when. If there are details regarding the girls' ages he was interacting with/dating/having sex with I'm guessing it's going to get ugly for him. Although he'll just say it's fake news or something silly.

Joe Biden commuting the sentences of judges involved in Cash4Kids is so reprehensible, I can't even put words to it.

What? You want to give them away for free? One would imagine that there should be some form of compensation...

Essentially judges took money to imprison kids in a private prison.
It’s unclear if it was intentional to pardon him in particular or if it was because he met the criteria of these Covid house arrest cases.
Either way it’s disgusting people are dead as the result of these two.

Ugh, that is pretty awful. So these Judges got kickbacks for sending kids to jail? Then they got convicted, got House Arrest due to COVID and are now getting pardoned?
Why? What is the reason for the Pardon? They seem guilty as all hell. Yeah, I can understand the families being pissed.
They've already gotten away with what seems like a feeble slap on the wrist and now they get a Pardon?
Yeah I'd imagine the victims are pretty choked.
