Lol what. How is he a candidate.
Buck Pierce would be a good hire if available but not sure he would make a lateral move. I don't see many changes on the offensive staff, I think Beau Baldwin plays a larger role now with Big Play VA here.
Special teams and defence needed an overhaul.
A lot of big names on the WR market, Lawler is available as well. I could see us making a play for one. We also need to bring back Philpot and use him properly. He was underutilized by Dickenson.
We need some explosive players, but we need some size as well.

I don't see Rick Campbell accepting a demotion (keep in mind he was not only the head coach of the Lions, but also held the co-GM title). He might just have to bide his time and see if another team eventually comes calling, but that end of season presser by the Lions was a pretty scathing dressing down of the job that Rick Campbell did this past season.

He may have too take a demotion.
I don’t see any job openings for him anytime soon and build back his reputation.

Farhan also has indicated that Jordan Maksymic will be joining the Elks as OC...

I can see Campbell coming back to the Stamps as the DC.....3rd different stint with the club.
DD and he are old buds who have worked successfully together before.

Stamps are trying to build a new culture here; don't think we would want Adams ex head coach here who just got fired for being a large reason for them having a bad season.
We need fresh blood and new ideas. J.C Sharret worked here before as well I believe, could see him being a candidate.

Yeah, if Buck Pierce wants to bring in his own guys and decides to cut Ryan Phillips loose, I think DD and the Stamps should try to scoop him up as DC. I'd much rather see that as opposed to bringing in Rick Campbell.

As with the Kilam hire I like that he's at least a first time GM and not a recycle. CFL badly needs to stop recycling head coaches and GM's.

Kilam has been a coach for almost 20 years in the league. I said it before it feels like when Fangio got hired in the NFL. Some coaches are meant to be coordinators for life.
Fresh blood for me is the Dinwiddie, Mace, Pierce getting shots. All former players.
That's why we need to stay away from a guy like Rick Campbell. Sounds toxic.

All this and we have the most recycled old boys club as our head coach for another season.
I guess you guys don't want change... lol

You really dont know what recycled means do you?
Feel free to name all the other teams Dave Dickinson has coached in the CFL though.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one puzzled by the use of the word recycled.

Coaches cap will just continue to enable the merry go round of coaches. US college coaches get paid more to be specific position coaches, so there's no new blood coming familiar with the Canadian game, outside of University football.
19 years ago Killiam was a strength coach, Rick Campbell was getting coffee for his dad who was too busy manipulating the league. Stick around long enough and you'll learn enough to become and move up the coaching ranks. Just the way it is in the CFL. I fully expect Lapolice and Barker to be back in the game and off TV at some point. Benevedies has no issue going back to BC and will be a head coach somewhere at some point again, just not right now in BC.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed veteran quarterback Trevor Harris for the 2025 season, per sources.
It’s a one-year contract extension for the 38-year-old who turns 39 on May 31.

Just watched an interview with Farhan Lalji who said that Mike Benevides is getting strong consideration to be the new DC for the BC Lions (i.e. taking over for Ryan Phillips). Last I looked, the Stamps do not have a DC.
