Me neither. If it’s the 4 or 6 pack of green -40 stuff, it has been pretty reliable and never freezes.

Me neither and I usually buy the stuff from Costco. Luckily there shouldn't be any problems returning it.

Having a brutal wardrobe hour: first, the zipper on my new-ish, warmest winter jacket breaks, right in the middle of a cold snap. Now at the gym, using the washroom, I take off my gym gloves and put them on top of the urinal. One slips off and falls INTO the urinal. Floating right on top of a few inches of water...and possibly more.
Looks like I have a couple new emergency purchases to make this weekend...

Most of the time a zipper can be repaired. Try PacCana in the NE or a local tailor. That glove could probably be cleaned, but I don’t think I’d be able to wear it again either.

Oh yeah the gloves are definitely getting retired haha, yeah I can't get past the mental block. They've served me well, but have a date with the garbage can. Yeah coat zipper will get fixed, may be the best winter coat I've ever had...until 45 minutes ago anyway. Just gonna make for a chilly weekend in the meantime.

You know what people don’t do anymore? Wave. I always wave when someone lets me in, zipper merges or not. But I maybe get 1/10 in return. Maybe.
I honestly don’t think people in Calgary, maybe Canada or maybe even just any city where traffic isn’t routinely insane understand what “polite” actually means. They “enforce” politeness by being total #######s all. the. time.
I can cross 5 lanes in rush hour over the Bay Bridge while motorcycles are lane splitting to make an exit into San Francisco easier than I can merge over one lane on Calgary 90% of the time. People here are trash drivers.

When someone lets you in are you wanting a wave back after you wave?
Or are you saying when you let someone in they don’t wave to you?

I'm not one of those YYC Costco knobs that run to customer service the moment I'm the slightest but unsatisfied with something. Especially for fluid I bought 8-9 months ago.
I wondered if I could fix or power up the remaining bottle for like a few bucks. Doesn't seem like it's doable in a cost effective way. I'll just buy another few packs next time I go to Costco. I'll mix the ####ty bottle with some reflex stuff for a warm week that'll require a ton of liquid to avoid a grey windshield.

No, I’m not looking back when I wave.
It’s when I let someone in. I don’t particularly care whether someone waves or not, but I judge people if they don’t.

Wouldn’t it make sense to just not use the questionable stuff at all until spring or summer? It’s not like you have to use it in winter.

I guess. A week like next week probably works fine to just get rid of it since it's less likely to ice over in those positive temps. I guess I could label the bottle with a marker or rip off the label so I don't mix it up, but summer stuff has the good #### for getting rid of bug guts.

Why the obligation to interact just because you happen to be in close proximity? Yes, it's polite but I'm perfectly happy interacting with meaningful people in my life, don't need to add convos with random strangers to the list.
What is achieved by acknowledging the rando? Don't get mad if they don't respond, they're not obliged.

Undercover said acknowledge or say hi, and now it’s become an expectation that people stop and chat.

Haha I was waiting for a chirp about that. Hey, if some women like the feeling of sandpaper on their bodies, that's their prerogative. I'll stick to keeping my hands in lotion-filled Isotoners at all times, thanks.

I’m assuming someone who finds the concept of saying “hi,” waving, or just smiling/nodding at someone to be that strenuous probably doesn’t get a lot of in-person social interaction as it is.
