The numbers that Natural Stat Trick has match the eye test in this one. The Red Wings are way out playing the Flames.

This game is one of those that illustrates why I think Conroy must keep his eyes firmly on the future. If the Flames are still in the playoff picture at the deadline, I hope Conroy is a moderate seller, selling any expiring contracts he can while not cutting the team’s legs out from under it.

I think teams are gonna start matching their shut down guys against Zary. Zary is the Flames’ most skilled forward. And Calgary is low on offensive catalysts.
