Remember, PD's have to frequently remind people, EVERY YEAR, not to leave their car running, 'cause someone will steal it...and every year, there are hundreds of "I just left it running to warm up for a second" thefts...
The "I left a garage door opener in an unlocked car" thefts are a rarer, but are also usually accompanied by someone getting a bunch of stuff stolen out of the garage too.
My philosophy on the car running in the winter is I’m not worrying about it. Though modern push button starts solved the problem so it will go away soon
If it becomes common for some reason, there are a lot of establishments that cater to the solo diner, as it's more prevalent in Japan than elsewhere. Some places have their menu prices set to a min two person price, but list it as per person, which is more common in yakiniku places. Even can't make a reservation for 1.
Hotels kind of are similar, in that it differs from NA where you just book based on a nightly rate, but they also have a per person rate which differs from one or two people.
It's a mixed bag really. Finding places that have solo seats is best, check tabelog, or doing all you can eat which is a set charge and usually a good deal if you take part in the alcoholic drinks.
I focused on out of the way izakayas, where all seats are solo and food is cheap, good and experiences are memorable.

Yeah, that stuff was surprisingly really good. I don't typically enjoy eating a lot of sweets, but that stuff I had to make sure I didn't start tossing them in my mouth like popcorn.
When doing school drop-off and pick-up it continually blows my mind how much people just don't care about parking rules.
Handicap only? Bus zone? People's driveways? Everything apparently is fair game so Jimmy doesn't have to walk more than 50 feet. Special order of selfish always on display.

It's great entertainment. I've started hanging around longer after I drop mine off to watch the chaos that ensues.

Had my pubes shaved by a nurse Monday and it just dawned on me now that I cannot find a reason why. Not fully but definitely an impactful amount.
They had to find your penis
