What’s better:

- no goal McDavid?
- many goal Ovi?

These plus Flames play so far, wolf busting out, so many great NHL stories this season.

Sounds like OV left in the 3rd after a strange collision. Came back out to skate around and test it out but went back on the bench. Hopefully nothing serious.

Yeah it was a bit of a strange collision.

Fingers crossed it's career ending but I doubt it.

Ovechkin is a freak of nature. It’ll be one of the sports great accomplishments if he can catch Gretzky this season.

Okay. I just looked above. Looks like that’s not going to happen.

Lemieux was better anyway.
Why are Ovechkin and Gretzky pieces OS. Can you elaborate?

It all comes down to Politics.

Gretzky was at an exclusive Trump Victory party. Trump is buddies with Putin. Ovechkin also appears to be buddies with Putin. Overall its a large circle of awful.

Also Whine Gretzky was a greaser so he is forever tainted.

Then some people can separate politics from the athlete...and then round and round we go again, where the wheel stops...nobody knows!

I get that a faction think Ovechkin runs the Russian war machine in between games.

But Gretzky now too. Sorry, that was a bit much. Had to say something.

It's unbelievable that he has 15 in 18 at 39.

Also satisfying that a greaser won't be top dog in that category soon.

Hopefully the team doctors can put their special spray on any make sure he gets on track. I remember back when he was a rookie and people were fairly divided on Crosby or Ovechkin. While they were both destined to be great, I think most people appreciate both and to see both play at such a high level for so long is nice to see. To see a Gretzky record which on its own is hard to beat, is an amazing to be accomplishment.

Yup. I too was sucked in by the media and got into it and chose Sid over OV purely because Sid is Canadian, but then I grew up. Being a fan of both for most of their careers has been awesome to watch!

I was at that game last night and the contact didn't look too bad live but he was down in a lot of pain. Didn't look good when he got up.
