I wonder if he’s not a fit with Zary and Kadri because both of those guys like to have the puck a lot. Maybe he should centre Huberdeau and Kuzmenko and Pospisil reunited with Kadri and Zary - Pospisil has been equally as quiet.

How is it not a penalty to shove someone into the boards like that? Oh, a Canuck did it.

The rush to extend Yegor Sharangovich a full year before he needed it was… his 17.3 shooting percentage?

Training camp injuries are killers
And IMO he's not a fit on that Kadri line.
I thought he was getting better every game when he was centering Huberdeau, then they decided to switch it up

They look gassed, mentally and physically. Really lucky it's still only 2-1 at this point.

To me the natural fit is still alongside Coleman and Backlund. That should probably be our #1 line.
Sharangovich - Backlund - Coleman —> the big line, hard minutes, toe to toe.
Kuzmenko - Zary - Coronato —> give them offensive starts
Huberdeau - Kadri - uh…sacrificial lamb? —> Kadri and Huberdeau should be forced to play with each other. Pull James Neal or Troy Brouwer in on a 1-year deal and threaten 10/91 that if they don’t get better, they’ll extend Neal/Brouwer every year until their contracts expire.
Lomberg - Rooney - Kirkland

Speaking of goalies (like they are doing) they haven’t tested the goalie.

I do t want to move Coronato from Backlund. I’d rather move Coleman. Plus I think Kuzmenko/Zary/Coronato is too risky and not a good match of styles.

My daughter turns 10 today, perhaps #10 does something clutch to tie or get GWG in the 3rd?

Honestly I think they should just go on an extended run of:
Coleman - Backlund - Coronato: 106 minutes, 55.5% xGF
Zary - Kadri - Pospisil: 400 minutes, 50.2% xGF (but 67.9% GF)
Huberdeau - Sharangovich - Kuzmenko: 118 minutes, 64.7% xGF
Over the last two seasons those lines have performed well in somewhat small samples together.
Right now Pospisil looks like the odd fit with Kuzmenko and Huberdeau, and to me Shrangovich is not fitting with the 2 man game that Zary and Kadri like to play. Switch those guys.
Give them a bit of an extended run and try to see if they can find some consistency and chemistry.

Flames look better this period but still too easy for the Canucks goalie.

If I was in the sea of leather jackets tonight, and a home team fan, I’d be unimpressed with my boys effort. Canucks look not good considering they’re playing a half dead team.
