Nah, the Flames never plays with body, just swinging sticks gently and go back up their positions.

The Flames are playing their 3rd in 4 days, 4th in 6 days, etc. They're tired.

Wait - do you think Huberdeau passed that puck back? He didn’t. He turned to try and skate or shoot it out and it was knocked off his stick.
He was the only guy to even get to the puck on that shift - everyone else was being beaten to it. Flames are looking slow.

Just a good long discussion about the goalies (including Cooley in the AHL), a bit about the offseason plan to let Vladar and Wolf "sink or swim". Also some good stuff about Coronato and Zary. Leslie asked good questions and Maloney had interesting insights.

I didn’t see the penalty late in the first. Obviously turning point so far.
Legit or league being league?

Cancuks has momentum from the puck drop.
Huberdeau and others had a chance to clear, and Pospisil skating randomly around didn't help.
On an unrelated note, Abbott needs to get away from Hrudey for a few games.

It's unbelievable how much interference is allowed against the Flames. Just zero respect from the officials.

They’re in tough. Canucks are well rested and coming off a loss. And at home. Calgary maybe should have added a couple fresh players.

It was a high-stick on the alien. There was a head-snap, but it did look legit.

He was stick checked, yes. It happens hundreds of times a game to lots of players. It wasn’t some dumb play like Kadri’s a minute before.
Edit: what Kadri just did - skating it up and then just letting the puck slide off his stick to a Canuck - that’s a giveaway. Huberdeau’s was just a good stick by the D and the puck happened to go to another Canuck.

I could be wrong, but it looked to me he held it too long trying to make a fancy little stupid play, which is no different that why he usually turns if over rather than GETTING IT OUT at the end of a PK shift where everyone is dog tired.
