League tried their very best to take back Huberdeau's goal with zero reason for it

Great first period by Wolf tonight. Opportunistic on the PP and eventually outlasted the Flyers. Coleman said let's start well and see where thst goes. This is a good way to start.

Good point. Obviously opportunities/ice time can limit some players from scoring to that level but, in a full season, would it really be surprising for any of these players to score more than 15 goals:

Huberdeau
Mantha
Kadri
Zary
Kuzmenko
Backlund
Coleman
Sharangovich
Honzek
Coronato
Posposil

LIked the movement on the PP for the most part. Need to get Raz of the point on the PP...he's good, but too slow getting the puck off his stick.

For sure they need to get the D closing the gap on onrushing players WAY faster. They let Flyers get out of their zone too quickly starting in the 2nd and play fast and loose in the Flames zone for most of the 2nd and 3rd.

Wolfie was excellent and I like the game from Honzek and Zary as well.

Great first 2 games.

And 2 goals 2 apples for Huby. Has he ever had 4 points with us so far? Genuine question

Either way I’m so happy for him

Yup....great start by winning a couple games but their collective defensive awareness is staggeringly poor.

Way way to many chances against.

That being said...they are fun to watch.

I read he hasn’t done this since he was a Panther.

Flames had 61% of the HD chances...staggeringly poor lol

Some of you guys need to get over your pre season biases. Flames were the better team in both games. They can clean it up a bit but the Flyers gave up more HD chances.

In theory, the Flames two star forwards were supposed to be Kadri and Huberdeau. They just weren't playing like it. With the exception of Lindholm, the rest of them were replaceable type players.

The defence though? Losing Tanev, Hanifin, and Zadorov? That's not so easy to replace.

Kuzmenko has more skill than Lindholm, Mantha>Mangiapane

Tanev and Hanifin are hard to replace...Zadorov is over rated defensively. Guys also actually want to play here I expected a better start then last year. (Low bar)

If Huberdeau is playing well and the kids develop a little, this forward group is better..... Once again, the defence, not so much.

The Flames that started last year were good on paper...no argument. They started 2-7-1 is the reality though. Even with their star dmen and goaltending.

Maybe some of those guys are over rated?
