True story: Judge had a better season. In fact, Judge might have had the best season by a RHB ever. Kinda crazy a Yankee could do that and it feels like it's flown under the radar. Just shows what a star Ohtani is to draw all the attention.

Yeah. Feels dirty to say so but I'd be quite interested to see a Yankees v. Dodgers world series.

The Tigers and Royals both finished with 1 win more than the Mariners.

Okay...but the Mariners had the Angels, A's, and Rangers in their Division who all finished below 500. Plus the weakest Division winner of all the post season teams. So I'll argue they had plenty of opportunity to make up for no White Sox with the schedule they had.
The AL Central was a collective 36 games under 500. The West was 43....so your argument doesn't really hold.

Well that must have been a fun 15.5 innings for Tigers fans. Astros roll from here I imagine.

As painful as it is to be a Jays fan the last two seasons, the two and done choking of the above average regular season OriLOLes, who were supposed to be better with the new owner this year etc, is amusing.

Made even better by the fact that Burnes will be walking in free agency and they have no rotation for next year. That new owner will have to put his money where his mouth is or things will go south real quick.

All three matchups I had a rooting interest in worked out. Mets I can go either way; be fine if they lose or have a great matchup against Philadelphia.

I think I heard that prior to this year 14 of the 16 best of three had been won by the team who wins game 1 and 13 were 2-0 sweeps. So it's 16 of 20 now being 2-0 sweeps and at least 17 where the team winning game 1 takes it.
Maybe they should go back to the one game format than go to best of 7.

Amazingly half of those have been road teams. even with both games being on the road.

Part of that is the worst division winner always being a home team. Brewers vs Mets and Tigers vs Astros the home team had more wins but not by much.

Turns on the game. Brewers immediately hit 2 HRs.
