The rouge is one of the dumbest things about the CFL.

Imagine losing a grey cup to a punt single or missed field goal. Mickey Mouse ####.

Maybe the CFL should consider a rule where you can't score a rouge with no time on the clock. You get to keep the rouge in the game, and then worst case scenario the game ends on a kick return following a rouge with like 1 second on the clock.

I't s terrible way to end a game but surprisingly doesn't happen nearly as much as you would expect. The problem with the rouge is that you are rewarding failure especially in this case but credit the Argos for realizing that he just needed to have a lot of juice on the kick to ensure the win.

I like the rouge. I’d make one adjustment. You score the point if the ball never leaves the end zone. If you kick through the end zone, no point. Otherwise, I believe that haters are comparing our game to American football. Our rules are better; keep the rouge.

Rewarding a missed field goal, and a flubbed punt is a great rule?

Should we also reward a QB who overthrows a receiver for trying?

Let’s be honest - with how they call DPI they already do reward QBs for trying with their over/underthrown passes all the time. That has a much greater impact on a game than a rouge

Yeah it's wild. I've been watching the CFL since 1990 as a kid, and I think this is the first time I've seen the East as the legitimately better division lol
