Between prepping for fantasy hockey drafts and trip planning, I forgot about this weekend. First miss and not like I'd have done any better on picks!

So much faster in qualifying that we may see those places regained quickly. Hope it's tougher than that

Wow. 1.5kg light when the fuel was drained. Unfortunately disqualifies a brilliant drive

Good that Lewis won at Silverstone. Would have been unfortunate if this was his first win in 3 years

I saw some footage with Horner, RB principal Laurent Menzies and Danny Ricciardo talking in the RB hospitality suite after the Belgian GP -- take it for what its worth. I think DR is back at Red Bull in 3 weeks so that they have a "proven" F1 driver to score points in the second half of the season, with Liam Lawson taking the RB seat as a rookie.

Williams are on the upswing under Vowles. I think they can be a solid midfield teams. I also think Sainz sees the lack of open seats with top teams and knows Williams is a solid choice from teams who aren’t RB, Merc, Ferrari or McLaren.

Vowles knows his stuff, that's probably what attracted Carlos.

I'm all for a resurgent Williams, F1 is better when they are at the pointy end of the grid.

I think it's the Mercedes engine. There has been a lot of talk that Mercedes is going to have the best engine starting in 2026.

Sounds like maybe Audi wouldn’t give him an out clause to join a top team and Williams may have. Based on the available seats that would make sense why he went with Williams.

Yeah, without an out clause a multi year w/ Williams would not make sense for a guy like Sainz (proven race winner). He definitely wants to have his options open over the next few years

Results from Spa are in!

Congrats to DoubleK for easily the best week with 4 slotted and eight Top 10 for 24pts. McCree gets second with 2 & 8.

Agulati this was your second missed week (no more), FurnaceFace and dammage79 I think this was both of your first missed picks.

Overall 3thirty extends his lead over 2nd to 12 points over yours truly Flamesrule has a 3 point lead over agulati and bizaro86 for P2.

The race was quite entertaining actually. Cant believe Russell was able to extend that stint to just a 1 stopper. But his pace and fuel burn ended up getting him DQ'd. Surprised one of the strategists/engineers didnt realize that...1.5kg short.

Happy for Sainz to go to Williams. I agree that I think they're definitely looking stronger. Perez has to be done at RBR. But I just cant see them brining in Honey Badger or even Lawson. RBR is likely puckered about potentially losing the Constructors, so they may just keep Per.

Big break till next race...Aug 23-25 for the Dutch GP.

Spoiler!
