Two losses hung directly on the head of an over leveraged Trevor Richards in the last 6 days.

I don't know. Was that what the discussion was about? As far as I'm concerned, you walk that guy and load bases. Maybe you can turn 2 and get out of it

After 7 innings I was super impressed with the bullpen performance and the ability to manufacture runs.

No that was the right play, it was the opening walk they were discussing . Apparently when you walk the lead off 50 percent of the time he scores. Followed that up with another walk, then the double steal thye had to intentionally walk and then you needed a grounder or strike out.

This loss sums up this team perfectly. Vladdy celebrating the sac fly to go up 4-2. And then having absolutely everything else go wrong from there. The double play by Turner, Richards with the worst pitching performance I've ever seen, and then the 10 million dollar man can't throw a strike. What an abortion of a team.

I mean with one out you want Vladdy to get the run home, he did his job. But yeah tthat turner at bat was brutal.

Not following you. Did I miss that? They intentionally walked to load bases? If so, I withdraw the question. I missed that and thought they pitched to the guy who sac flied in the winning run instead of walking him to load bases.

Yeah he started with two walks, then when pitching to the third guy the two guys in base both stole. So it was second and third, and I think the count was 2-0 on the batter. So they intentionally walked him to load the bases and get the force at home potentially. The next batter flied to left to score the run.

As per Hazel taking about Pederson...in Pederson's words about the FA process last offseason.
"From the conversations I had with the Blue Jays, their actions didn't match their words". But Pederson was interested, loved Toronto etc etc, had history with his dad. Pederson has been around and a free agent before, so he knows how it works, so his comments aren't some naive words about the FA process. It sounds like he had a pretty good indication that he was on the short list for the Jays.
Not that Pederson would've been any different in the field than Turner, the story more here is the Jays front office really being two faced and seemingly untrustworthy in what they say vs what they do. That sort of reputation, if it carries on, isn't going to do the Jays, already struggling to get FAs, any favours.

Finally our 1st strikeout tonight. Suarez, probably the easiest guy to strike out on the D-Backs.
