I don't know how severe Kylington's mental health problems are, but I do know that he has resources to help him deal with them that most people don't have access to. Money (his own and the team's) will do that for you.

I've seen people die because of untreated mental illness, and I've seen people end up on the street for the same reason. Those are both worse situations than what Kylington is in. Note: I said (and Dino said) situations, not conditions. The mental-health trouble he is going through may well be worse than the ones I mentioned. But it hasn't destroyed his life, and he has access to better treatment than most people with mental health conditions.

The people I feel for most are those who urgently need help and can't get it.

So his privilege and access to care essentially negates any empathy for his situation. Got it. By this logic no one’s worthy of sympathy unless they’re a homeless meth addict.

I can’t imagine having this much conviction with so little information. We have no idea if Kylington’s life has been destroyed or not.

You can be homeless and have mental health issues. You can also be rich and have mental health problems. Maybe people just don't really understand it.

It also isn't usually a thing you can just cure with money. You can't just give someone a million dollars and cure them of a bunch of bad internal thoughts.

Either way, I just wish the best for Kylington whatever he decides to do. There is a lot of extra pressure in Canadian markets anyways that might not be the best thing for him. So I understand he can make whatever decision he wants.

Giving them $1 million won't help necessarily but if they spend that money on healthcare it gives them a much better chance of overcoming - or at least managing - their issues.

I've been out of this thread for a bit...are we still gathering a riot to burn down his house or is that off?

I mean...I just had the pitchforks sharpened and refueled the torches.

Now...I think I should be up-front...they are tiki-torches, I got them at Home Depot, it was all I could get on short notice...I know thats going to come with some problems of its own but the guy at Home Depot assured me that the fuel is infused with citronella so...we won't have to worry about mosquitos!

So we've got that going for us. Which is nice.

No, people are still debating if OK made a stupid career decision by turning down the one and only contract offer thus far or the Flames are being dicks not giving in to his demands...
