Yeah, not a big deal at all. Maybe an over payment, but at least there is no potential for it to become an anchor or issue for the team. I think the Flames are also paying for some intangibles here, so maybe not really an over payment at all.
Yeah, its $2M for a Cup Champ who brings the goods every night on a team that is going to be young and the $$ don't really matter because we've got tons and tons of Cap.
What you dont want is a 'losing culture' because that can take forever to shed.
I'm 100% on board with this signing. Bring it on.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

There are probably not too many guys available this year that would be better to put in our rebuilding locker room. Lacks size and top end skill but has eeked out a pretty decent NHL career entirely based on GAF, work ethic and tenacity. That's a guy who works hard every day and every shift. Is there any better lesson than that for a young, rebuilding group?

Nice, thought we had made all our moves for the day before I went out for a round of golf. Was already quite satisfied, then I come back to this news. Best Canada Day in years!
I remember that. Dumba threw a cheap shot late with a game out of reach and then turtled like a little p**** when Lomberg came calling. Classic Dumba. And classic Lomberg. I'll bet Dumba didn't want to come into work saturday after that display.

Then Dumba "answered the bell" the following week vs Tkachuk, and tore his pec muscle in the fight.
Not to beat a dead horse but I frickin love this signing. Perfect type of player to be a part of a young squad. Not to mention he's so much fun to watch out there.

Are these the new Fanatics jerseys or the Adidas ones? My guess would be adidas because they got rid of the waffle pattern on the shoulders with Fanatics right?
