Another good watch if you haven't seen this before.
I know some said this kid had no heart/drive etc but I think after viewing this you'll come around and see that he's a very humble kid and to me wants to become something for his family.
This was a great watch. Welcome to the Flames, Parekh Family!
One thing that nobody is mentioning is that Parekh likes to be the agitator. Opponents generally hate his guts, and want to kill him.
This is a trait I value in a player (see Tkachuk, Bennett, Lomberg, Pospisil, Ferland, Marchand, etc). Sh*t disturbers have a tendency to drag their teammates into the game.

Who was higher touted Iginla or Parekh? I know many wanted Tij, but without the last name attached did we get the better player? Honestly curious, as obviously they tried to make a play for Iginla as well.

Tij's ranking and where he was picked has absolutely nothing to do with his last name. Kid is a legitimate high end prospect. Parekh was (IIRC) was slated to go high for some time now and picked 9th is "correct", Iginla was mid-late 1st and was a late rise due to his strong strong play at the end of the season, his late birth year also helps.

Bingo's last amalgamation had Parekh 8th and Iginla 9th
Sandman/Cral's list had Iginla #6 and Parekh #7
so essentially identical, and hard to justify paying a heavy price to move up

Seems highly skilled from the highlights. The question marks about his defensive game worried me a bit but if he can be similar to a Quinn Hughes or Evan Bounchard those guys can completely change the dynamic of a team. Plus if he has some edge to his game even better. Seems like high upside for a 9th overall pick.
When is the last time you've seen a D score 30+ goals without taking a single slapshot ... is that not extraordinary? ... and so many goals below the top of the circle... many in the slot or even below the hashmarks
