A little surprised as well, at least this quickly. He was a great player though, so I'm not really complaining, just doesn't seem like an obvious pick for the HOF either.

I'm assuming he goes in as a Pred, which probably helps his case. They can't have too many players in the HOF and I am sure the HOF likes the optics of adding a player from there just to get more representation.

Kind of surprised with Weber. What’s the story on Mogilny?

This is one of those years where they could have just inducted less people instead of further lowering the bar. Roenick? Meh.

Campbell is a disgrace to the NHL and should have been fired when those emails leaked years back. He's exhibit A why the NHL old boys club still has a firm grip on the NHL and a reason that the disciplinary system is the 2nd worst in professional sports after the CFL.

Nope. Not as bad as Kevin Lowe but he never won a Norris and was never one of the best three defensemen in the NHL at any given time.

Exactly. They lowered the bar with Lowe and now, who's next? Zubov? Gonchar?

His IIHF record is superb. Ya he didn't win a Cup but he dragged a bad Montreal team to the Bubble Cup Final.

He absolutely is HOF worthy IMO.

Weber is not at all surprising: He logged massive minutes every night for over a decade as a top two-way dman in the leagueThree-time Norris runner-up with two other 4th place finishes and a couple finishes in the 5-10 range4x AST finishesGood playoff performer, including being the Habs #1 dman in their 2020-21 cinderella runWon everything there is to win internationally - Olympics, WJC, World Cup, and World ChampionshipsKept his public persona clean and uncontroversial

Maybe he flew under the radar to some people, but his resume is really impressive. It was only a matter of time before he was going to be inducted.

Colin Campbell??? He should've been fired after the emails leaked about how he harassed the Director of officiating over calls against his son. Or after his comments to John Scott when he was selected to the all-star game.

Mogilny still with nothing is absolute garbage. What did he do to the NHL to be ignored this long? Has to be a story here… it just doesn’t add up.

It has to be because he defected. He the first Russian player to do so and caused a mini avalanche of their best players leaving by defection, agreement or somewhere in between and the league doesn't want to piss off the Russians.

90% of this was done in a media black hole in Nashville. This is a HHOF resume.

I think on the balance Weber deserves to go in the hall, like some have mentioned already there's certainly some names already in there that he should make it in above, and others that should be in there already that haven't been inducted yet. I will admit on that I do have my own bias' though for the performances he put in for Canada over the years.
What's more surprising to me personally is that Datsyuk wasn't already in the hall by now. What an incredible player. He's also so universally appreciated that's why I'm so surprised to learn that.

I think Weber is more deserving than Roenick, personally. But I am fine with both.

They put the "old" in old boys club too.

Daly is 60yrs old - and should be organizing his transition to retirement
Campbell is 71yrs old
Bettman is 72yrs old - and was showing visible signs of Parkinsons in the speech given during the SC presentation.

These guys should be haunting a condo board or HOA somewhere, not running the NHL at those ages.

			I like Roenick getting in.
I don’t like Webber getting in.

I still dont understand how Mogilny isn’t in already.
