My wife is on the board and my mother in law is the outgoing president of the board. We have been involved with Fuller Center for decades, and they do so much to make ends meet for people in this area. We believe that education, especially early childhood care and education, is what sets people up for success long term. Many kids from this center go on to become first time college graduate and professionals in their families. It's a great organization and we happily donate every year. I also coordinate work experience and internships at the university where I teach.

If you hold stock in Canadian Tire group, sell off early tomorrow before stores open and all the bandwagon, front running fans, in this city and others, try and return all their gently used orange and blue trash they wore for a week and a half.

It won't take a donation from an Canadian address. Pm me your email and I'll wire you the donation.
I've tried to express to my wife what it means to be Canadian, and I said over and over again it's simple...community. We take care of each other and support each other. It's different from the individualist mindset of an American.
Never has there been a more obvious example of what that sense of community looks like. I'm an expat Calgarian/Canadian who's team won a cup that helps Flames fans. In appreciation for that, several of you decide to support kids and poor working families here in South Florida just for the sake of comradery. That's just ####ing amazing.
It's just another example I can use to support the overarching theory I've been telling her for a while now: "Everything is better in Canada."
