They are 11-1 in games 4 or later of a series in this playoff run. Coaches are adapting and figuring out how to adjust and adapt to their opponents.

This has been the worst year of my life and not because of stupid hockey. However I'd like to have something to look forward to and seeing Tkachuk and Bennett, two of my three favorites, when they were Flames, win the cup would have been awesome. I feel like there is no hope. I just want some ####ing hope, but now I'm going to have to go into hiding. So many Oiler fans in my life who are typical Oiler fans - jerks. I genuinely hate Oilers and their fans.

I hate the Oiler with a passion, always have and always will. I don't know how the hell Florida blew a 3-0 lead, but they play all season for home ice and there is a reason it's so hard to come back from being down 3-0. I might be delusional, but I still think Florida pulls this one out of their asses now that the pressure has switched back on Edmonton (both cocky teams, so not sure pressure plays much of a factor though).

If I was old enough to have gone through the 89 Cup run I'd probably feel differently. But I was 10 during the 04 run and became a die hard fan since, nothing will top going to Game 6 and watching the Flames eliminate the Sharks with my dad.

Yet, I don't see a path forward as a Flames fan seeing a cup anytime soon. Even if the rebuild goes well over the next few years, winning the cup takes so many things going right it takes as much luck as it does roster management. So to that end, if the Oilers win a cup simply for sucking so much that they had to change draft lottery rules, a cup based on a lottery win followed up by 9 years of incompetent GMing, it feels sickening and cosmically unfair lol. Obviously I take the game too seriously but it's a wake up call that would have me tuning out of the sport entirely going forward.

Ya its whiny but there's also no other die hard Flames board I'd rather vent to haha.
