Meh, hope the Oilers lose. If they win, kinda sucks but I seem to care less as I get older with many other priorities in life. 18 year old Keenan87 would be freaking out right now.
That's my thinking too. If the Oilers win, it's a good opportunity for Flames fans to reevaluate their priorities and where they rank hockey on the list of what matters to them. The older and more dad I get, the less emotionally invested I can get in a bunch of millionaires playing a kids game. I still have enough giveacare left in the tank to enjoy a Flames game and would love a deep playoff run, buy can't really care as much about other teams and being an anti-fan.
But I don't live near many Oilers fans either.

Whatever. It just sounds like sour grapes at this point. Dallas quit? Convenient for Edmonton, I guess.
I agree with #### them, though. That's my feeling as well. I'm just objective enough to not have to make up a narrative about why they are one win away from a cup.
You can be objective and see a double standard in reffing
That elbow on Barkov? Others have been suspended for that.
The dive tonight? Making fools of the refs
When’s the last time you saw refs take 2 guys on 1 team out of a scrum for a 2 min 5 on 3?

Well the Oilers finally feel the pressure that the Panthers have had for the last 3 games. Sure they had the pressure of lose and your done, but now Florida has that same elimination factor. Really hoping Florida can pull it off at home.
There's a lot of really weird cope going on. I don't think Dallas and Vancouver and now Florida just "gave up". Edmonton is simply taking their game to a new level and McDavid is a star.
That said, I don't have to like it or respect it. It's a team built on horse#### and plastered together by alleged wife beaters, vehicular manslaughterers, garbage human beings, and supported by the most vile fan base in north america.

All the pressure on the Oilers now to continue the momentum. Everyone is writing the Panthers off. Home ice takes it.
I find that debatable actually.
Yes, now majority of people expect Oilers to win since they're riding the wave.
But, they are still trying to do something that's only been done once.
I think there's even more pressure on the Panthers to avoid being one of the most embarassing sports team in history. And this is a team that has a coach that has no clue what he's doing, and a team that's in shambles mentally. So that's not going to help them.
Edmonton could lose, and everyone would say good job on getting it to this point. They win, and they'll get anointed as one of the greatest NHL teams ever. There will actually be documentaries about the season. You can believe that.
Panthers lose, and everyone would say "WTF happened!?" If they win, the response would be "you almost effed up."
Panthers are the one with more to lose. The pressure is on them.

Well you guys should take some solace. Home teams are massive favourites in game 7 and I think they are still somewhat of a favourite here, but not by much. They will come out hard and if the oilers don’t weather it, the game could be over quite early.

There’s just no guarantee here.
Yeah, anything can happen but they turned a 15/16 chance into a 1/2
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this really sucks. First their two long win streaks to even get into the playoffs, and then this nightmare. It would be impressive if it wasn't such a garbage org.

I don't care if the Oilers win. I just don't want to hear the Org say they will always try to make the playoffs and will never draft top 5 yadda yadda. Clearly, top picks make a difference and nobody cares if you tank or keep your nose held high. They will win the cup all the same just like the LTIR cheaters did in Tampa and Vegas previously. You take any advantage you can get in this league. There is no moral high ground. Conroy was forced to rebuild and you can be sure the plan is to expedite it at all costs. I hope they learn something from what top picks can do from this.
