Both guys are playing quite terribly if we're being honest. Jannik is just slightly less bad than Charlie thus far.

Here comes Charlie, from down a break to up a break in set 2.

Quite the turnaround in this match, it was 6-2 2-0 for Sinner and then Charlie wins 6 of the next 7 games to make it one set apiece.

Looks like Sinner is experiencing some hand cramping issues...

Jannik is just red-lining his ground strokes at the moment, cramps be damned.

Lots of twists and turns in this match, Charlie is starting to do Charlie things and needs to force a 5th set if he wants to play on Sunday.

Charlie does indeed break to force a 5th and deciding set.

Should have bought the premium package for €1500 for this one lol. Although no doubt it'd be a triple bagel if I did.

This missed overhead by Jannik led to the break of serve and could end up to be the TSN turning point.

A break for Charlie and he is serving at 2-love in set 5.

That one break of serve early in set 5 was all that Carlitos needed. He awaits the winner of Zverev vs. Ruud (please be Casper) in the Sunday final.

Not good, Casper is feeling it physically here in set 3. Just like the Panthers, I think Charlie might be our only hope.
Edit: Casper's serve speed is way down, obviously his tank is running on empty.

Too bad Ruud didn't seem fit enough to compete down the stretch. He should have had tons in the tank having had the extra rest and really just let Zverev cruise after halfway through the first set.
Unless Zverev suddenly learns how to competently volley and move forward overnight, I would say he's got maybe a 10% chance of pulling off the upset over Carlos. Alcaraz seems to be getting better every match this event and just knocked off a better version of Zverev that can do everything.

Reading that Ruud was suffering with a stomach virus (at least that's what people are saying that's what he told the chair umpire).
