Bad segments of games happen all the time. The reason these teams are good is because they don't tend to last very long. If they snap out of it tomorrow, they win in 7

The oilers are having the best playoff special team performance in NHL history and it isn’t even really close
If that continues they will win the cup . However eventually the PK floodgates have to open …. Right ?

I am just absolutely baffled how they can have that PK success with that group. Defies explanation. At one point they had Mcpoints and Pissy on the powerplay during the year, avoided watching most of this series so far so not sure- are those two on the PK? If one of them is maybe teams are too worried about SHG?

I think I've seen Pissy on it but it doesn't excuse the times he's not out there.
It's easy to kill penalties when the other team refuses to shoot unless they have a clear view of the net.

They aren’t. That was under woodcroft. Mark Stuart really revamped that PK

LA round 1
No Demko for round 2, Hughes banged up and no Boeser in game 7
No Hintz in Round 3, and no Tanev most of game 4 and then on one leg for game 5
Wonder how Edmonton would do missing their best player, best defenceman and having to rely on their 3rd string goalie (Campbell).

It’s not relevant now, we are were we are.

Ron shows methcat after the Panthers clinched the finals tonight saying 'get it done tomorrow lynx' in some terrible play on words about cats. All of sportsnet openly cheering for dumpsterville.
However unlikely, imagine Dallas wins the series? The tears would be delicious. Stars should use this stuff as bulletin board material.

Wasn’t really wanting Florida in the final but at least they’ll get a touch of rest here, seem relatively healthy and Bobrovsky is playing as good as you can play.

Based on their showing I think they've passed up every opportunity to get themselves motivated.

One thing about Dallas that I don't understand (compared to Florida) is that they look very passive at times, even when they are down. Like, if Florida knows they are going to lose they will muck it up and get a piece of you, and there is none of that from Dallas. They look like a weak team.

Which leads me to think it might be fatigue from two brutal rounds, or they're carrying some crippling injuries that are making key players ineffective.
Otherwise it doesn't add up considering who they beat to get here.
The lack of hustle when they're chasing in particular is perplexing..

It’s kind of a joke actually how the EDM playoff games for all 3 rounds look like regular and even pre-season in terms of intensity. Can’t think of a playoff team in recent memory that’s had an easier walk to the Finals.

It’s not impossible that maybe the Oilers are better than we think.
It’s not just the other team playing poorly.

They got LA one of the worst playoff teams of all time. A team full of losers and gutless pukes.
Vancouver looked like ass vs Nashville and somehow won and almost beat Edmonton.
It’s not like Dallas rolled Vegas or Colorado either. They played pedestrian hockey and won in OT. Colorado also had a player thrown out because of his coke addiction that clearly rattled the team.
These losers have been gifted the easiest path ever. Also every team they played has had a poor pp coming into the series but somehow they are the greatest pk of all time.
Just change the title to 4-2 Oilers win.

Touch of rest? First game is a week from now. Both teams will get a load of rest.

This thread is gold.
"I'm gonna stop watching my favourite sport if xx team wins the cup"
"The Oilers arent good. Just three straight teams have stopped playing hockey"
"The NHL is rigged for *checks notes* Florida and Edmonton"
Lol. Guys. The levels of cognitive dissonance and petty infighting going on in this thread it outrageous.
It's gotta be a riot for Oilers fans to read.
