Best result would be a sweep by the Kings obviously

Hopefully the Kings get to Skinner early and often. Skinner had a good year, but he's also shown bouts of inconsistency. If the Kings rattle him early the Oilers fanbase will be calling for Pickard or "Soup" to get the callup. In terms of Western goalies Skinner would probably be ranked 5th or 6th, only ahead of the Kings, Avs, and maybe the Golden Knights.

The West is stacked with elite goalies (Hellebuyck, Demko, Oettinger, Saros). All four are capable of stealing a series on their own, as good as Skinner has been I don't see him in their league. Gotta try and break his confidence in game one.

The only team that can beat the Oilers is the Oilers.

So the Oilers lose.

In 6.

Did you get one in the first two years? No? Then you know what you need to do.

Ridiculous that they delayed the series until Monday. I hope karma bites them in the ass.

The Kings should just give up and forfeit the series

Probably not a good idea to stay on that page too long you might go blind or need a shot https://www.google.ca/search?q=tetan...client=gws-wiz

Requirement to mention 1980s oilers in statistical analysis of recent seasons met!

"Scintilla" of fear?

Yikes, just stick to common Edmonton layman's terms, Wyshinski.

Oilers haven't won a game 1 in seven years.

Will they be able to break the curse tonight?

Kings don't seem as good as last season to be honest. PLD for Iafollo and Vilardi was a downgrade.

Now watch PLD have 3 points tonight.

All the home teams winning doesn't bode well for the Kings. All the ####ty calls being made also doesn't bode well for the Kings.

Maybe they can find out what McDonkey was nursing and seek to agitate it.

Everyone writing off the Kings before the series even starts is perfect bulletin board material. Hopefully this motivates LA to come out flying tonight and prove everybody wrong.

Have people not learned anything over the last several years? The Oilers are not a powerhouse by any means. They’re a mediocre team with terrible depth and sub-par D and goaltending propped up by two star forwards and a PP. If you can make the Wonder Twins’ lives miserable and limit their chances, they’re very beatable.

Better just hit him everywhere to make sure.

I like the fans and media looking past the kings because of the last two years results in that match up.

The Flames have won 9 straight at the Honda Center after losing there for 20 years or whatever it was.

The point is, at some point things break the other way. It did for Toronto after routinely fizzling out to them.

I'm sure the Kings are sick of having their full season efforts stamped out by the oilers powerplay and will seek to do whatever it takes to change the narrative.

We know the oilers history with looking past opponents (WPG, CHI).

I think it will come down to when and how often the oilers get PPs, as is usually the case with them.

I still think Daneault is the key to the series.
