Of course he can do that. You think Conroy wants AJ Greer to get ice time over Coronato? It boggles my mind the hoops posters will jump through on here to absolve Huska of anything.

Well Conroy is Huska's boss so while it's possible he may have a preference to play the young guys, it's clearly not something that he's mandated. Coaches more than not will always ice the players that they think will win them the next game so the call has to come from above to put the kids in and that's clearly not happening at the moment.

So I would say the bottom 7 teams are out of reach, but I think we could drop below Seattle. What's the difference in lottery odds between 8th and 9th?

According to Tankathon, the 8th-worst team has an average draft position of 7.6, and is guaranteed a top-10 pick.
The 9th-worst has an average position of 8.5, and could pick as low as 11th.

There’s a long time between now and the draft, and a lot of time for people to realize this draft doesn’t have 14 better players than Jarome Iginla 2.0.

Getting one of those 6D or one of the 3Cs would just be so big for this franchise. We miss out? Hello Tij.

Successful night for the Flames "tank job".
Pittsburgh wins pushing us down a spot
Seattle wins drawing even in points and games played
Montreal wins getting two points closer in the standings
Arizona wins getting them two points closer too

Only thing that could have been better is if Arizona and Columbus had gone to over time. But all in all great night for climbing the draft ladder!

CBJ is irrelevant. Even if we lose every game the rest of the way (we won't), they likely won't get 13 points in their last 11 games.
