Last few years I've done the draft ranking averages.
This year starting early with the Flames not making the playoffs, having two picks, higher up the draft, and day to day results affecting two picks.
Here is the consensus so far in both pick ranges ... (standings +/- 2 spots) (last column is the average)
9 Cole Eiserman LW 9.00
10 Zayne Parekh D 9.40
11 Konsta Helenius C 10.20
12 Carter Yakemchuk D 11.80
13 Luke Misa C 12.00
28 Aron Kiviharju D 23.00
29 Ryder Ritchie RW 23.40
30 Cole Hutson 24.00
31 Michael Hage C 24.60
32 Henry Mews D 25.00

Raty was one of the oldest players in the draft and in his 18yo season in Liiga was way less pt/gm then Helenius'17yo season. His 19yo season was better.

What rankings are you using that have Misa that high? Most places I've seen have him 30+

Early in the process so only 5 rankings in ... and SMAHTS had him 12th
If I assign a rank of 33rd to every player not ranked he falls to 28th.
These players tend to fall out of the first round when I get up to 12-15 rankings.
Doing the same gives us these groupings ...
9 Cole Eiserman LW 9.00
10 Zayne Parekh D 9.40
11 Konsta Helenius C 10.20
12 Carter Yakemchuk D 11.80
13 Tij Iginla C 12.60
and ...
28 Luke Misa C 28.80
29 Emil Hemming F 28.80
30 Adam Jecho C 29.20
31 Henry Mews D 29.80
32 Egor Surin 30.60

Great opportunity to see 2 players who should be in the Flames 2 x 1st round pick ranges, Iginla being ranked early teens and Parascak being ranked late 20s.

The Flames desperately need an elite center. Anyone have a break down of the centers and the range they might land in so I can start day dreaming?

Trevor Connelly's baggage reminds me of Josh Allen having racist tweets exposed before his draft day. I think we can file Connelly under young and dumb. Unless I'm missing something.

I agree with you, but, not sure society accepts the 'young and dumb' defense anymore.

I have seen Ryder Ritchie listed as a winger only, where he listed as a C?

The Flames also drafted two rapists in the last 6 years, so who knows if they want that media.

Might be more acceptable in the NFL. Bosa had the same issue.

Not you ...
But only an idiot would draw that line when players are drafted and then do something stupid vs drafting someone who is falling in the draft because he's already done something stupid.

Idiots are abound and the press loves nothing more than bad news.
I for one would draft Connolly if he was the BPA, he said something stupid on the internet at 16. its not like he was forcing neurodivergent kids to eat candy out of a urinal.
But I understand why the Flames would be leery after Dube and Roni.

Truculent!

Connolly has shown repeatedly that this wasn't a one off situation. Kid can't stay on a team for very long cause he's a piece of ####.
Pass on him.
