America has the worst chocolate bars. Disgusting really. And a terribly limited selection. Just like cookies. So nothing but Ghirardelli Sea Salt Caramel Dark Chocolate squares for me, or nothing. So mostly nothing.

The chocolate in the Cuban Lunch is waxy and not great IMO. If you like peanuts in chocolate, in a square format - Whittaker's Peanut Slab is your answer. Way better than Cuban Lunch. London Drugs carries them.

The original ones were very good. I haven't tried the re-incarnation version yet. You are possibly correct on the downgraded chocolate.

Cuban lunches are definitely not as good today as they were. I'm pretty nostalgic about chocolate and they've definitely used poor quality chocolate. The peanuts aren't as good either.

I remember them having Spanish peanuts, like with thin skins still on. Maybe that that’s a false memory.

Not great. I found it to be dry and not a lot of flavour at all.

I have never understood the love for Twix, it is too dry and not enough chocolate.

I only really eat chocolate bars at halloween but the ones I seek out the most are Wunderbars as it's a perfect marriage of caramel, peanut butter and chocolate. Snickers, Mr. Big and O'Henry are up there for me as well.
