Well, just go back to the original Legend of Zelda and beat Ganon on that! Now that was difficult (including everything leading up to getting there).
I think I did it once in 1989 and haven't tried again since.

Here's a hint folks, I've never stood in line but managed to pick up a dozen Wiis and sold them over the past couple of months by looking in places most people don't ... like HMV. Many music stores sell videogames now as they try to diversify out as it's a tough business these days.
But then again, supply should be catching up by now, heck it was launched in September and it's June now! Personally, I'm waiting until the black Wii's come out before I decide to keep one. Something about the white plastic fad that irks me...feels all icky like ipods.

As of Friday, it's Wii360 for me! I've had a Wii since launch and while it was cool, I have to say the games it has for it just aren't my cup of tea. Too cartoony and kiddy, and when it does try and do more mature games it doesn't have the graphics to pull them off.
Whereas Gears of War... ahhhhhhh... much better....
Debating if I should sell my Wii or not...

Went to Best Buy around 2:00pm at Northlands. They had 3 Wii's in their cage just sitting there. Kinda suprised considering the talk about demand and stuff. I think the hype has died down or supply may be getting better. Not really interested in the Wii. The kind of games that I do play like FPS or action games are getting mediocre to bad reviews and mostly having to do with the lousy controls.

I'm a Wii360 guy myself but tend to sway the other way. I've had my 360 for over a year havn't bought a game for it in.... well, over a year. If I have to play one more game starring a space marine or an FPS or sports game on it I'm gong to smash it up against a wall (Microsoft, please diversify your line-up.... PLEASE!!). I'm waiting for Too Human, Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry and the inevitable Metal Gear Solid 4 port. At least some decent games are comming to the 360 around Christmas time. Until then the 360 has nothing in the ballpark of Zelda for an adventure gamer and nothing even close to Wii Sports or Wii Play for the party crowd.
Can anyone suggest any non-FPS, Sports (including quai-realistic racing games) or games starring a space marine on the 360? I've already been through Oblivion, that was the game I played over ayear ago.

I'm a Nintendo guy like you, I tend to swing more towards stuff like Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Brawl, so we probably like the same type of stuff.
It's space marine-ish, but check out a title called Crackdown. It's like Grand Theft Auto, if Grand Theft Auto was actually fun. You play a super agent who can literally leap over buildings, pick up and throw cars, and cause massive explosions at will. Brilliantly fun, has online co-operative as well. It also some snazzy, quasi-cel shaded style graphics. It and Oblivion are my two favourite 360 games.
Still though... Wii is a monumentally boring console at the moment. Not to worry though... the stuff on the horizon like Strikers, Galaxy, and Brawl look AMAZING.

Yeah, Nintendo has said they are going to be putting out more games that are targetted towards the hardcore gamer in the future. I assume this means more FPS games and whatnot, with graphics to be upgraded in the next version of the Wii. I want foot sensors too!

It's not Nintendo, but the 3rd party developers that are scrambling to catch up because they underestimated the Wii's demand. They are the ones that usually provide the more "adult" type games.
The Wii will not be upgraded, unless it's a purchasable upgrade that everybody can get like a memory expansion but that's pretty silly imho. There aren't going to be any graphics upgrades and foot sensors would simply be another peripheral. The Wii's sensors are actually quite simple and cheap to make.

Those peripherals will be a lot of fun though, since they're releasing Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii, which will use pads as well as the wiimote/nunchuk. Guitar Heroes III is coming for Wii also, which should include a guitar peripheral.

FYI I was just at the Deerfoot Mall Walmart and they had about 20 Wiis in stock for anyone still looking.

The truly great first generation Wii games are coming out in the next few months.
Watch out for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption in August, I'm pretty stoked.
Super Smash Brothers Brawl will be top notch and Super Mario Galaxy looks like another game.
As for non-nintendo titles, I was looking forward to Manhunt 2, however anyone who has been following, knows that ESRB rating of Adults Only has delayed the release of that game.

I got mine at a superstore in Airdrie on a Saturday morning. It is definately a party console, even though the Virtual Console with some retro gaming is a blast.

For those interested, Dell.ca has some Wii's for sale.
A co-worker ordered one on Sunday night, and it has shipped
today (Monday).
It's a bundle with the unit, an extra controller w/ WiiPlay, and
Metroid Prime 3. $394.

If people are still having trouble orderng these, my mom just ordered one off costco.ca and looks like will take a total of about 5 days to get here. I believe the shipping was only $9.
