At this rate, Lindholm may end up like Klingberg did a few seasons ago. Didn’t sign an extension with the Stars and struggled to get a long term contract… ended up signing with Anaheim hoping to have a bounce back season.

I think that Vegas trade for Hanafin starts with Hague, and adds Edstrom and a pick. That looks solid. Hanafin slides into the Martinez slot next year, if he's willing to sign, and everybody signs in Vegas.

Lindholm looks completely checked out/disinterested once again.
I feel it’s very clear he wants to choose his next destination and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go to Columbus/Florida in the off-season.

He’s definitely not getting the 9+ he wanted in CGY.

I just don’t see Vegas giving up any of their defence for a run to the cup especially with after how effective it was last year. I’ll be happy if the flames can just get a first round pick honestly. Anything beyond that would be gravy.

I am starting to see Philadelphia as a potential destination for Hanifin. They are in the play-off hunt (currently 3rd in the Metropolitan Division) so they probably are not on Hanifin's 8 team no trade list.

The Flames could ask for one of the Flyers two 1st round draft picks, a young roster player like Yegor Zamula (LD), and a prospect like Samu Tuomaala (RW) or Helge Grans (RD).

If Vegas are spending assets on a deadline add, it will be a scoring forward like Guentzel.

Just because Hanifin is open to an extension with Vegas doesn’t mean they’re interested in making a deal for him.
