And as we all expected, as soon as they started facing playoff-calibre teams, they couldn't keep it rolling. The Oilers' lack of depth really showed in those two games against Vegas and LA. The Ducks game should have been a loss as well if not for the refs gift-wrapping it for them late in the 3rd period and looking the other way when the Oilers committed obvious infractions.
In short, they are who we thought they were.

They also lined up Markstrom's brief tweak and got Vladar, who doesn't fare well when he has to play consecutive games.
And it still took a pinball goal from a near impossible location to pull it out.

Yes.
It's the only fringe benefit you get for having to play in Edmonton.

The next time McDavid hits some kind of milestone, an opposing player should just throw the puck into the crowd.

If I caught that puck, I would offer to sell it back to McDavid… for the $1,000,000 he won in the All-Star skills competition that he himself designed.
It might help to remind him why he does not deserve the benefit of good sportsmanship.

And their fans wonder why the rest of the fans of NHL hate the Grease.. What a bunch of entitled children that whole team is. Ugh I hate them all.

But they won't, because unlike McDavid his teammates they have class.

Very closely following that 2011 Canucks blueprint. Supreme Dbaggery and diving as the team culture, identity, and main winning strategy.

In 1898, the first "Battle of Alberta" took place in Edmonton, as the Edmonton Thistles faced a team made up of members of the Calgary fire brigade. The match turned violent and a brawl saw Calgary's E.D. Marshall lose an eye in a stick swinging incident.[2]

This Oilers team is nothing like that Canucks team. The 2011 Canucks were dominant. The Oilers are riding a wave of unprecedented good fortune.

They were dominant, but it was due in large part to a deadly power play which, like the oilaz, resulted in a #### ton of diving to get there. The Canucks were a better all round team, but relied heavily on that PP and did everything to get it.

· 1st in scoring in the NHL
· 1st in goals allowed in the NHL
· Top powerplay in the NHL
· #3 penalty kill in the NHL
· #6 in even-strength scoring
· #1 in even-strength goals allowed.
Yes, the Canucks had a great power play, but they were good at everything, and could beat teams every way they wanted.
And, yes, they were loaded with ######bags, and here is the colossal difference: the Canucks were an elite team; the Oilers are a pathetic showboating knock off with holes everywhere.
Edmonton is no good.
