Because Frank is a no-talent hack.

Good. I don't want them getting Guentzel.

But while we're on the topic, what happened to the Edmonton reporter talking about giving up Ceci for Guentzel? At least now they are in the realm of possibility, with a 1st + Broberg

They literally don’t have anything that could get Guentzel. Dubas maybe would do 2024 1st + Broberg + Holloway….. but only maybe. Likely get better offers and prospects from others.

The Oilers have zero prospects. Broberg will top out it appears as a third pairing Dman. Holloway is looking like a bust, Bourgault is likely a tweener. Abolsutely nothing.

18 points in 27 gp doesn't scream bust to me for a 22 year old defenseman.

I think as I do with a lot of Oiler prospects, they're in the worst development system in the league and can be salvaged.

If they want to overpay by a metric ton I'd take an unconditional 24 1st and zbroberg and another prospect from them for Tanev. At worst, you got a mid 1st. At best you salvage Broberg and you have a middle pairing LD moving forward and a mid 1st.

Yeesh, that’s terrible luck after just returning from injury.

Even if that pick was just top 3 protected I’d be tempted, that could be a fantastic pick.

Very nasty video to watch. His leg looks like rubber in it.

I suppose but he's an 8th overall pick from 4.5 years ago and those are his AHL numbers. different players I guess but compared to production of Poirier a 3rd rounder from a year later (I think?)

They can send Point. Sure he’s past his prime at 27 (he heh) but he’s from Calgary.

18 points is good but not as good as Ben Gleason’s 21 points.
