I’m not a Lindholm hater. I think he has been a great player for most of his 6 seasons with the Flames, and he will be again with a good team.
I hate the Canucks and don’t want to help them. Can hurt the Oilers playoff chances by trading with a central division team if that is part of a fans rationale for trading him.
Supposedly, the Flames want three pieces : player, pick and prospect. The first round pick is the most important part of this hypothetical package, so low 20s from any contender. The player is likely the biggest differentiator in any offer others can make. Kuzmenko is 28, makes more than Lindy, doesn’t play a team game, apparently he’s slow (idk, just based on the tweet above), signals a retool not rebuild.
For those reasons, not interested
