Nice. That's a good c9aching change. We think the Flames are the k8ngs of being MiD, that's the isles throne. This is a neat change in direction for them.

Somewhat out of left field isn't it?
Also heard the heat is on McLellan's in LA with their streak.
I am sure Doughty is blaming things on the coaches again.

They should hire Sutter again. Two more cups guaranteed.
Part of me also thinks with Lou getting up there in age and the isles being continually mediocre, that Roy may end up GM at some point soon.
Nah I don't think so, this is akin to Sutter hiring Keenan because he himself wasn't allowed to come back to coach after the players walked all over Playfair, so he wanted a hard ass coach.
Or, Treliving hiring Peters/Sutter because history repeated itself with the player friendly coach that GG/Ward was.
Lou wants a guy that will lose it every so often. If Darryl was a lot younger and wanted to move out east like Brent did with NJ that one season under Lou, Lou would've had him lined up in a heartbeat instead of Roy.
I don't think it's surprising that Roy is back in the NHL - it has been whispered for awhile he wanted back in. But who would have guessed it for the Isles?
Back to back G6 and G7 in the ECF, getting eliminated by 1 goal each time by the Lightning (who were probably the best team of the last 20 years and one of the greatest teams ever).
An insane road trip killed their next season and last year they were just decent, and their window is probably closed, but they're one of the best teams to not win a cup in the cap era
