I vaguely recall Jokinen getting one, or maybe it was Hagman. Anyway it would've been like 10-12 years ago so more recent than Huselius but not by a lot.

Mixed feelings. Nice to see them grind out a win but always still nervous they’ll do something dumb with the UFAs lol

This is the best part
We play a bit of defence and look decent and the Oilers are who we thought they were

It has to be dead easy to fix, because that's how you prove that the coaches are idiots and the fans are geniuses.

I wouldn’t say we looked decent in the first two periods against Florida. Markstrom looked awesome would be a better description.

I was watching hoping to see Lundell, is he injured or a healthy scratch? By just looking at the stats he hasn't done much this year but you could say that for all the Florida guys except Barkov's line.

On IR with an illness. Pretty bad flu? Covid? It's unclear, but he's been out for a bit.

Not having an amazing year offensively, but he works really hard and has played well in a defensive role alongside Luostarinen.

I swear Flames got a goal awarded on a missed empty net in the Battle of Alberta playoffs in 1986. I think it was Kevin Lowe throwing his stick to stop the puck from going into the empty net.

Gretzky I think. But now I recall it again - the puck actually went in and the commentators just said it would have counted even if it didn’t because of the auto goal

Man, there were some pretty absurd comments from the Oilers fans in the ATL.

It felt to me that Florida handed that win to the Flames. Though credit to the Flames for stepping up and seizing the opportunity.

Yes, because every team just does that from time to time. Players are tired and decide they really don't want those two points and just...sleep instead.

That's right up there with "...and the Panthers beat the Oilers and lay down for the Flames...".

Huh? I think that giving up two short handed goals counts as giving a game away.

Like I said, the Flames earned the win, certainly Markstrom did in the 2nd. But Florida kinda did go to sleep in the 3rd.

What is the deal with Tkachuk this year. I can't believe he's only on pace for about 60 points. He didn't look great last night but still generated a lot of opportunities and was involved in the offensive action. What's the reason for low production? Just bad luck? Not healthy?

Some of it looked like bad luck to be honest.

He seemed to be around the play a lot, right in the "guts" of the game as Treliving called it.

It's what this team and probably 90% of the league misses, a guy who creates that havoc around the net, gets pucks on the goalies pads and creates chaos. Those passes or shots into the goalies pads on the powerplay created a lot of chaos.

A few times the puck sat in the blue paint.

The skating is still awful though, it looks like an injured player moving around a lot of the time.
