There have been rumors that Philly would consider it since Briere became GM.
Philly is off to a good start but when they brought Briere in the plan was to rebuild/retool. It's actually probably the perfect time for a rebuilding team to move him.
Hart is still young at 25, but his best season in the NHL was his rookie season, he's had injury issues, and he's an RFA that will be due a raise after the season.
If you're Philly do you extend him for $7-8M per year he's going to be asking for, or do you move him.
If you can get Skinner (also 25 and will be much cheaper), a potential top 10 pick in the draft, and another top piece (my guess is another piece would be required) then I think you'd think about it.
Wonder if Briere looks at Gibson as a comparable. Ducks were entering a rebuild and decided to keep Gibson when they could have fetched a King's ransom for him. He really hasn't found the form from early in his career, and if they trade him now he'd be worth much less than he is was 4-5 years ago when he was 25.
If it's the 2024 1st (top 3 protection), Skinner, and Holloway ... I'd think hard about that if I'm Philly. But I also wouldn't want anything to do with extending Hart for 8 x $7-8M.

More Flames rumours less E=NG trade proposals that would never happen.
Markstrom for Holloway, 1st in 2024 and 2025

My eyes don’t matter. He’s performing and still has more ceiling. They’ve been searching for a goalie forever. They’re not starting over in net, and definitely not for a first rounder that may never amount to anything.
These “rumours” are fan proposals and speculation not rumours. If Briere really wanted to trade Hart he’s had plenty of chance.

He's been GM for two weeks longer than Conroy has been.
Don't think I would consider that "plenty of chance".
If somebody meets the price then I'd bet they would move him. My actual guess is that Oilers are trying to bargain shop and won't meet that price.

8 months is plenty of time to find a buyer for a young number one goalie. Especially with summer cap overage and roster flexibility.
I think you’re all sleeping on the Flyers. They’re seeing themselves adding, not selling.

I see your point.
Also, if I come across more similar 'fan speculation' do you guys prefer I didn't post it? Personally I don't mind the discussion, but I definitely don't put too much stock into any of the rumors I read until one of the insiders mentions them. So let me know if it's annoying people I won't post similar tweets.

I am not saying he is untradable but the Oilers are not getting him for Skinner and a 1st. Add Holloway and a 2nd and then Briere starts thinking about that.

Rumors I see online right now is something around Perry and Mrazek for Campbell. Oilers probably throw in picks and prospects. Maybe a salary like McLeod? Hawks might have to retain a bit to make the money work. Campbell isn’t a terrible option for the Hawks during their rebuild and no worse than what they have now. I just don’t see Mrazek being the solution for the Oilers. Perry I can see helping their fragile room with his experience

That would be super cheap for the Oilers to dump Campbell

Hawks bring in vets like Perry to ensure that Bedard learns how to be a pro from real pros. It seems to be working so far. Can’t see why they would move him and deviate from their plan two months in for Jack Campbell without some serious picks attached to the deal.

I assume the Oilers would have one of their top prospects on the table as well as picks. Maybe it is nothing but Chicago reporters have speculated that is why Perry and Mrazek missed practice. Could be nothing as well

Can definitely see Holland going after Mrazek since he drafted him in Detroit (and traded him away).

Since the,Hawks have zero reason to trade or Perry, they are only taking on Campbell’s contract if they get some significant sweetners.
Campbell’s contract is a terrible option for any team to take on.
What I’ve seen is Campbell and a first and a prospect for nothing.

I don't think you are going to see Philly get rid of Hart, he has a 915 save percentage, 2.45 GAA, he is their starting goaltender, and the flyers are tied for the last wild card, why would they trade him right now of all times

If Edmonton is not including their first I assume multiple of Holloway, Bourgault, Broberg would be on the table. Maybe next year’s first? Chicago can take Campbell’s deal and probably make it work with their rebuild but not without premium sweetners.

Depending on what goes back in contracts scuttlebutt seems to be a first and third to offload that contract.

They aren’t moving Perry, he was brought in to mentor and support Bedard. He isn’t going to Coilville

What did Perry do that was so bad where it was a no-comment? Missing practice as a vet you could give the benefit of the doubt to as stuff happens. What's the scoop there?

Oilers have no top prospects, Holloway is a 2nd rd pick return now, Broberg is 3rd/4th, Bourgault is 2nd tops, likely 3rd
