No Sutter except Duane has ever worked or (I think) played for the Oilers. Not counting Brandon who had a couple exhibition games this year.
Brent and Darryl were both technically available many times when the Oilers were looking for coaches the last 20 years, and far more suitable than any Oilers choices.
That family have their standards, even if they grew up just over an hour away from Edmonton.

Lol who monkey paw'd this beautiful oilers season into existence? Definitely traded the good fortunes of our squad but it's pretty great entertainment as an outlet.
Seriously, could you write a better mid season coach replacement from a comedy perspective than mcdavids old junior coach and an old boys club no bench experience hire? It's gold, Jerry!

Draisaitl doing a gambling commercial with Pronger and now hiring Coffey as an Assistant Coach. You'd think they'd want to keep those two as far away from their golden boys as possible considering how their times in Edmonton ended.
