I like Kotkaniemi. Not sure how high his offensive ceiling is, I see him as a #2C max right now. But he has some piss in him and plays the game the "right way". Good shot too.

What was the rumoured Tkachuk for Necas trade in entirety? Just Necas?

The rumor was necas + gardiner + 1st.
Some people mentioned that the Flames wanted ine of their better Dman like skjei or pesce

Yeah, still easy to see why they went with the Florida package. Debate is really centred on keeping Weegar and Huberdeau lol

Jarvis played really well in the playoffs. They Hurricanes like him better now than they did a year ago.

Gardner has zero value in that trade obviously, but Necas + Pesce > Huby + Weegar in hindsight.

Foudy could be an interesting 4th line C option if they wanted to move Sharangovich up the lineup.

Yeah, I’d be into putting in a claim on him.

Who are you moving when Pelletier returns?

Blue Jackets have been desperate for a centre forever. Foudy ain’t hacking it. Nor is he better than our current options.

I’m not exactly worrying about that.
For all we know by the time Pelletier comes back, Lindholm won’t even be on the team.
Dryden Hunt hasn’t done much of anything to keep his spot, so send him down to the AHL for now and see if Foudy could push his way into the lineup.

Kent Johnson “ain’t hacking it” in Columbus to start the year. Could be a bad coach mucking things up.

Pelletier might have a tough time getting into the lineup right now too. 4th line has been great and he needs a top 9 role. Ruzicka has been great too.
Coronato would have to come out and that is not worth a waiver pick up.

Foudy is 6’2”, decently skilled, plays an ok two-way game, and best of all- he’s an excellent skater. The coach of the Jackets has healthy scratched Johnson and Boqvist already, so perhaps his being waived is because he doesn’t gel with him. Either way, I would be shocked if he isn’t picked up. Not sure we have room.

Pelletier will at least have a conditioning stint with the Wranglers, IMO.

Huh?…… Foudy was drafted in 2018. He’s not even productive in the AHL.

I don't think we will see pelts in the line up this season.

Gotta disagree, 35 points in 41 AHL games is pretty good.

It’s likely, although not certain, that there will be other injuries.
I think we will see Pelletier. I won’t be surprised at all to see him spend some time, to start, with the Wranglers
