Yeah I wouldn't say I walked out, but I didn't see the 2nd or third one after seeing the first. LOTR are masterpieces of all facets of filmmaking. The Hobbit looks like a Michael Bay movie.

I want to live in the timeline where Guillermo Del Toro directed a single solo Hobbit movie.

One of the pirates of the caribbean movies (I believe the last one) was so bad my wife and I and two friends jumped ship about half way through

It was a transformers movie. I'm so glad that I was able to salvage some of my life from that piece of crap.

I deeply regret that for Rise of Skywalker I didn't just rise out of my seat and sky walk my way out of there.

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance. I lasted far longer through that hell than any mortal ought to have been able to. With about 20-30 mins remaining I was out.

At least those lines are delivered in cool ways though, right?

I think my least favorite quote is Halle Berry's "What happens when a frog gets struck by lightning?" line from the first X-Men. It just doesn't make any sense, it's awkward, it's not funny or witty, and the delivery is terrible (though I guess she's doing the best she can considering all of the above).

I have never walked out of a theatre but can think of two times recently where the thought crossed my mind.

"Midway": I was with family so I wasnt about to walk out, plus there could be some good action later (it wasn't), but man that movie was trash. Thankfully my wife and I were on the same page when Dick Best yelled "This is for Pearl" as he dive bombed the last carrier (the Hiryu?), we laughed uncontrollably.

"Rogue One": the middle of this movie is slow as hell and i almost considered walking out - thankfully i stayed cause the back half was good.

Never walked out of a theatre, but a couple really stand out for me remembering I wanted out and fast.

Avengers Endgame? Whatever the last one was called. Why did that need to be so freaking long. At the end, the people beside me on both sides were balling their eyes out and I couldn't for the life of me understand why. God, I hate comic book movies now.

Tenet - I love Nolan movies. All of them. I loved the visuals and amazing sound in Tenet. I just wish I knew what the hell was going on. I watched a 30min video explaining what I just watched after the fact and I was still very confused. I remember counting down the minutes to leave the theatre.

Not in the theatre, but as a big mob movie fan, I couldn't get thru The Irishman. Yes, it didn't help knowing it was super long, but the CGI to make Deniro look young just didn't jive with me and I couldn't get past how stupid it looked. Sorry Marty, I love all your work, but I couldn't finish. I'll likely try again though.

oh and the Tarantino haters can go pound sand. Kill Bill was awesome from top to bottom and Once Upon in Hollywood was brilliant.

Walked out of a Bob Dylan concert in YYC - it was awful. He sang his songs in a blues style and they were almost entirely unrecognizable, and the band he had was terrible.

Also walked out on REM. They sounded like one of the old transistor radios from the 60s in the corner of the 'Dome. Nowhere near enough amplification to even be listenable.

Can't think of any movies ... but LOADS that I've turned off while watching at home and just. Stopped.

Edit: I must be a masochist because I've only ever walked out on one Flames game before the final buzzer....and that time I was sick as a dog.

Back in the day did anyone return a movie to Blockbuster before you finished watching it because it was terrible and get a new one? That's the ultimate task, had to drive your ass all the way back to the video store, walking out of a theater is easy compared to that.

I'm not sure why, but driving a movie back to Blockbuster early seems way more dramatic than storming out of a theatre.

If I'm remembering correctly the one and only was Fubar, got about 1/3 into it, walked across the hall to see the Sum of all Fears, happy with the choice, never finished FUBAR, had to make a point to catch the first 15 minutes of the Sum of All Fears on Movie Central a year later.

Avatar 2. I even took some acid ahead of time because I thought it would be awesome with visuals but the writing and acting was so terrible that I had to leave after a little over an hour.

The only movie I can think of where people walked out was Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the one with Jessica Biel. Now, people (teenagers) walked out because it was super intense and they couldn't handle it lol.

I flew to Vancouver to see Mudvayne and Korn back in like 2006, left midway through Korn's set as they were awful. Maybe it was all the drugs or whatever but it was disappointing.

I’ve only done it once. It was whatever the #### this garbage was:

Choppy logic and uneven performances are overshadowed by not-so-special effects that makes the suspension of disbelief a nearly impossible task.
