Some places don't pay full sick leave. It's like 80-90%. Plus in excess of a certain amount of days, you need to pay for a sick note out of pocket. I think sick notes are like $100-150 now? So on certain days, you're clearing less than 75% of your regular wages... for some people, they can't afford losing 25% for a few days, especially when they may feel that being away at work "for a minor illness" may be of detriment to the stability of their role at work.

Ditto.
While there, someone got asked at the checkin counter “Did you want thr Covid shot as well today?” Implying they were there for the flu shot.
Her response, loud and proud: “Not a chance”.
Flu shot? Worth getting voluntarily. Covid vaccine? Government poison. Wonder if her mind would change on the flu shot if it was referred to as the influenza vaccine.

Did any one else get their butt totally kicked by the booster? The fever is intense and kept me up all night.

I got one in each arm, and as a side sleeper, that was not the best choice. The covid arm feels, oh, twice as bad as the flu one. No fever or anything though.

Not this time, but have had that before. I can't remember if it was my first covid shot or second one, but one of them did try to kill me.

Got both in the same arm yesterday, only a little sore but I was wide awake from 2am to 4am for no reason (brain upgrading to 6G?).

It looks like the recommendation for the covid booster is to wait 3 months after a covid positive test. Are people seeing the same recommendations? I’m trying to ensure we all are able to get it before a trip in December.

I’m not sure how useful that advice is, given how unreliable the tests are and how few people are testing anymore when they’re symptomatic.

My pharmacist asked if I had had covid in the past 3 months, so it may be required to wait.

Tests give more false negatives than positive. If you test positive it's safe to say you had it.
So yeah, wait the 3 months after your positive test to get it. Why waste the immunity bump of infection?

Can you check how many shots you have had? I think it is three but may be two, I can't remember.

Well crap. We were going to get both this week, but wife tested positive on Sunday. She had an in person meeting with a communication dinosaur last week (“virtual meetings just lack that personal touch” BS) who showed up sick, so likely where she got it. Now we have to wait three months?
To all you “in person conversations are critical” relics, get with the times already. 99% of your in person requirements are due to your antiquated communication skills, and are, in fact a waste of time.

And those total idiots are the first ones to start a meeting with a nice big handshake to make certain those germs spread far and wide.

Just booked both our flu and COVID shots tomorrow. My wife hasn’t had a flu shot in years but she’s taking it this year. Scary times.

Got the double just now and am sitting and waiting the 15 minutes to leave.
I hear so many opinions of the covid vaccine, each with their warnings about what the other side is saying. Who the hell do you trust nowadays? Conspiracy theories? The government? I feel so torn, as I'm late 40's, and have been told to sit down, shut up, and do as you're told all my life. Now people are free to choose, and I think sometimes I'm that little boy just doing as I'm told, blindly trusting a government who has quite frankly sickened and disgusted me in many of their dealings. But the alternative sucks too. So much to ponder. So much information mixed with disinformation. Who is right?
So I'm a good boy and I sit down, shut up, and take my medicine. All the while wondering...
What a world...
