It's still preseason, last year Markstrom looked great in preseason. He was pretty bad 2 years ago. Hopefully he'll start stopping the first shot from now on.

I'm hoping that if Markstrom truly is bad to start the year that the coaching staff will have the guts to go with two other guys in the organization.
I think he can be good, and hopefully will be, but there needs to be a clear and quick contingency plan in place if he falters. No more riding him for 20-30 games waiting for him to find his game. The margins for success on this team are too thin.

This is my first glimpse of any pre season hockey, haven't watched anything thus far this year. Has Huberdeau done anything of note in the pre-season, or at least looking like he's got an extra step compared to last season?

I don't mind Ruzicka but how he is on the PP and Shangovich isn't with that shot he has is mind boggling to me.

I don't know about that. I remember at least one of those goalies was notorious for the first shot going in.
