Looked at it quick and looks like he was caved in pretty bad in 5 minutes head to head against McDavid. Not as bad away from 97.

I'm sure the coaches will look at that a bit though

Honzek must have been horrible to get almost a -1 on that report in 3 minutes of time. Everyone else played 3-9 times that amount.

They're aggregating countable events, so in the amount of time he did play, it must have been pretty bad.

He could have had an opportunity to improve when Edmonton stopped playing Draisaitl and McDavid so much, but as you said, he was gone by then.

I’ll share a few thoughts being at the game. Well first two periods anyways till my daughter had had enough. Some thoughts on guys I was specifically watching.

Zary- Eye test for me matches what has been posted. Thought he looked decent. Probably best forward for the flames.

Petterson- I thought he was real solid to me. Don’t know what his chances are, but looked very good to me. Can see he has the skill, good skater, battles hard, wants that puck. If they want to replace Pelletier why not this guy? Put up decent stats in the AHL. To me he’s a better fit then Hunt to replace Pelletiers spot. Haven’t seen any of the other games so maybe he’s been crap, but wouldn’t mind seeing this guys skill over a guy like Hunt. No one seems to mention him at all so maybe he’s not in the conversation, but I liked him tonight for sure.

Honzek- So disappointed I didn’t really get to see him. He served the first penalty and that’s the only time I noticed him. Sounds like he got injured. Was one of the guys I really wanted to watch.

Vladar- Defence was a mess against the NHL oilers, but still just not the biggest fan of his. He did make some nice saves in the second when the flames were getting shelled so maybe I’m being a bit tough on him. I’m definitely not as high on him as some.

First time being at a game in a few years as I’ve kinda avoided going. Living here is bad enough, but man I hate that team and it’s fans. It’s not when it’s how many are they going to win. Hope this team falls flat and just sucks, but that might be a long shot. Could be a long season for us flames fans in Edmonton.

Not really reading anything into it, just an observation that it was a bad game. For all we know the injury could have happened before the game.

If you get a -1 score on that report in 18 minutes of play, it is much better than getting -1 in 3 minutes of play. For example if they put me out there, I would have -1 in the 3 seconds it would take to skate right to the bench, hah.
