Just unlucky. Onto the next one. Not worried. Just need to have better ABs and looking for the right pitch to swing at.

That's the thing that doesn't really inspire confidence.

Unlikely to have post season success when you leave leadoff double at 2nd in 8th, down by 2

Nerves from Gausman early, but got it back. A fortunate carry on that second HR that Chapman and Vladdy didn't get. Gausman pulled at least an inning too early.
Bullpen did fine but if it goes to three, those extra innings add up.
Bo running through a correct stop sign trying to be hero cost them. The next pitch Lopez threw the next inning was hit hard for a basehit. He was never under pressure but bases loaded would've had him under pressure. A WP or something funky and Jays could've even tied or been ahead, not still down 3.
And, even if they got 1 run there, and the second run, that last out in the 9th doesn't happen because they would keep Springer close to 1st if he was the tying run. Instead being up by 2 that 1B played closer to second and got the out that would've had Springer at 3rd.
Jays obviously need the bats going but nothing scared me about the Twins offensively.
Stupid selfish mistake by Bo.

Surprised at the result, I am not. This is what their entire season was like. Should not come as a surprise. I think this series is done tomorrow.
Prove me wrong jays!

I don't think I am. I didn't even get through an inning today before I knew it was going to be a repeat of game 1 last year.
I still want and hope they win though. But this team continues to frustrate the hell out of me by continuously shooting themselves in the foot.

I'm definitely watching the game tomorrow. It's the playoffs, why not?
Have some faith and have some fun. And maybe have a few beer handy as well.

Changing of the Guard. One playoff winless streak ends, another continues. 6 games and counting for the Jays . . .

Siddel and Shipman picked out to be the ones carrying the water for the Jays here.
Correa was where you'd expect a SS to be in backing up the 3rd baseman and made a fairly routine play to pick up the ball and throw it home and got Bo by 6 ft.
I think Buck and Dan bit their tounges on the broadcast, as while neither are homers nor overly critical, that was a blunder which really didn't need pointing out and changed the dynamics of a tight game.
Worst case scenario is the next batter pops out. Best case scenario is the Jays take the lead in the game with the next batter. Anything or any runs in between 0 and 4 in that inning and it's a differently played game from that point forward.

While I agree with you, and at the time seen it as another mindless play, it happened really fast. So it was definitely the wrong move, but even the guy most of us hate, Correa, made a really good play from this other angle here.

Runners get thrown out at home, it happens. In a game where you’re struggling for offense, I’m not putting the goat horns on Bichette. It’s not like Correa was backing anybody up either, he didn’t start moving to the ball until it was muffed. The guy has a cannon for an arm, made a nice play.

I liked the play, seeing how we struggle to get the big hit with RISP. And as the ball rolled by the 3B I also predicted there was time to score and was happy to see him break home.
Watching that X replay, it was an impressive defensive play. But it also shows what plagues us with this core, and why they aren’t World Series bound. Bo slows himself to a jog as he watches the 3B make a play on the ball. If he keeps his motor going on the base paths prior to the flub he makes it easy.
Like Donaldson in 2016 for the series winner against the Rangers. Fly around the base paths cause you just never know.

As bad as the Blue Jays' day was, the Rays had an even worse time laying an error-filled turd at home in front of a half filled stadium.

It was a good defensive play, not a great one. No matter how far back he was, he's still knows he has to backup the third baseman, and throwing a ball 100 ft to the catcher is pretty routine for an everyday SS.
Bo ran through a stop sign from a coach who could see the play developing behind him and as mentioned, not a great jump around third in the first place...live it didnt ever look like he had a chance to get home outside of a throwing error.
Again, bases loaded if he stayed at third wouldve changed the dynamic for the Twins in that inning and the game, and had much better odds of the Jays getting that single run and or more that inning, and then it's game on.
Instead no run, 2 other runners left on, and deflating to the dugout for coming up empty after getting those runners on, in a 3 run game.
Jays will win tomorrow, hopefully handily so the pen gets decent rest for Thursday.
