What makes me nervous is Twins haven't won a playoff series forever and I feel like they gotta win one eventually.

Would be nice if they could just play their junk pitchers tomorrow. Zero incentive to roll out any of the good ones tomorrow. Batters there shouldn’t be any letup.

Not sure how many transactions we can do for just tomorrow, but roll out as many Buffalo boys as we can.
The celebration better be subdued from the team. You wanted to party? Should have won this afternoon. Time to focus now on the WC series less than 72 hours away, and salvage your underperforming season.

It would be extra nice to lose tomorrow and possibly face the Twins because that would mean facing the AL West winner in the ALDS too.

Nope, Mitch White just got sent to Buffalo after clearing waivers. Apparently he finished the season strong too.

Yeah looks like he found something as he started averaging 95+ on the fastball and hitting 97. I know he did suck but he was also injured to start the year. I think with Ryu gone and Manoah a big question mark and Ricky being innings limited he definitely has a place as a 6-7th starter.

No, and I don't blame any team for not taking a flyer on him at the time.
He could have rejected his assignment and became a free agent but he probably knew he was better off knowing he had job security for the rest of the season than to hope another team would be interested.

Astros win so 6th place and a Twins matchup stays alive.
Houston still has something to play for tomorrow too as a win paired with Texas loss would win them the AL West.
