Romano shouldn’t be used in non save situations. He’s got a career ERA of 4.41. It’s just not a good idea.

Given Romanos last outing and the game situation that was a questionable decision at very best. Hicks could’ve given you 2 innings there and then you still have Romano for tomorrow when hopefully you are up a few runs and he can breath a bit.

I wouldn't have used Romano there, but mlb.com has his career ERA at 2.68
|
