It's a travesty that sportsnet continued the boardroom road calls for radio after covid.

Peter cited that as 1 of the main reasons for him leaving, he knew coming out of Covid the radio team wouldn’t travel anymore.

Maybe an online betting company can do all the commentary sprinkling in all the odds of what they're talking about as they go?

Better yet, influence bets based on comments. “So and so looks great tonight, pretty much a sure thing for a goal”.

Just make up a colour guy by raising your voice an octave. It's radio. No one will know.

I’m not the biggest fan of nationally syndicated radio programming, but having to Listen to reruns of the “Best of the morning show” (which sounds like an oxymoron), sure makes me miss it.
All they have to do is to remove one person, the morning show has never been better In the past year than when “he” was on vacation.

And draw something like this on one of your hands and pretend it's talking.

Radio colour is going to be a woman. Someone already involved in Flames broadcasts on TV.

Is that your prediction or something you've recently learned that will soon be announced?

I get that they miss a lot not being live on location, but from the network's perspective, it must be hugely expensive to fly the broadcast team around North America, put them up in hotels, and give them per diems? And do this for all their Canadian broadcast teams?

At the same time though, it's pro sports. How many media companies covering pro sports cut that cost out of their budget, actively making their own broadcasts worse? Bally Sports in the US is a disaster and I don't think even they restrict their broadcast team from going on the road. This feels like Sportsnet/Rogers just being trash, especially for a company that is far from poor.

How many people are we talking about? Two? Three if they have some type of engineer with them. Seems like a reasonable expense, businesses pay travel costs all the time. They typically fly on the team plane don’t they?
It seems very odd not to do this IMO.
