Flames CHL Prospects: 2023-24 season
Fewer than in past years..
Samuel Honzek
The lanky first-rounder (2023) will once again be playing with the WHL's Vancouver Giants.
Jaden Lipinski
Joining Honzek on the Giants will be Lipinski (4th round 2023).
Etienne Morin
This defenceman (2nd Round 2023) will spend his third junior season with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL.
Parker Bell
This forward (5th round 2022) has been returned to the Tri-City Americans of the WHL for his 20 year old season.
Hunter Brzustewicz
This defenceman has been acquired from the Vancouver Canucks, and plays for the OHL's Kitchener Rangers. (3rd Round 2023).

Lipinski got a goal in a pre-season game against Prince George Friday night. Looks like Honzek sat out.

Well, many writers are pegging him to be one of the best, if not THE best defenseman in the Q- quite a feat for an 18 year old. The Wildcats are expected to take another step or two, and may finish near the top of standings- due in no small part to Morin’s contributions. He had 72 points in 67 games last year, so if he plays 60 games, I could see him getting over 70 points. If he plays 67 again, he could get 80-85 points perhaps. Just my opinion.

Morin held pointless,-1 in a 3-2 OT loss to Charlottetown. 5gp/2g/1a/3pts,-2, 4 PIM. The Wildcats are 2-3 since Morin joined the team, but were 3-1 in the 4 games before his return.
Bell was first star with 1g, 2a, +1 in a 5-2 win over Kamloops. 2gp/1g/4a/5pts,+2, 0 PIM.

Bell gets 1a (primary on the game-winner), even, in a 2-1 win over Wenatchee. 4gp/1g/4a/5pts,-1, 2 PIM.
Tij Iginla Watch: Another goal tonight, putting him at 8gp/8g/3a/11pts,-6, 2 PIM. He is now listed at 6'0",186lbs on the WHL site- he was listed at 5'10" last year.
