Theo must have kicked up his stupidity a notch or two. I checked my Twitter yesterday four times; on three of those Theo was my first tweet. I don’t follow him but people I follow retweet or comment.

If you've heard him speak lately it's clear that it isn't mush brain making him say these things. I think he's angry, ignorant, and hateful.

There is a saying that hurt people hurt people, but this feels beyond the pale.

I wonder what exactly is the end goal in Theo's mind? Is there a peaceful outcome that he wants to see in all of this (beyond the punishment/incarceration of select induviduals), or is it just an addiction to funneling all his unresolved anger towards an individual/group/institution?

Every time I interact with people spewing that level of anger and hatred towards a public figure I wonder if there's an end goal for them or if they're just hooked on lashing out at their scapegoat and there isn't much thought that beyond that. Are they just problem-oriented in general?

If tomorrow they got what they wanted and Trudeau and all Trudeau sympathizers in government abdicated their roles or were locked away (which I'm sure they'd relish), would they be able to turn off their vitriol and negativity since the source of these problems is dealt with? Would they know what to do with themselves when they don't have that 'oppressive force' to rail against?

Or would they just find new scapegoats and new problems, because railing against reality is all they've known and practiced for years? I think that seems likely. Someone whose practiced being a victim for most of their adult life won't know how to be anything else. It's only natural that they would revert to what's familiar, even if they have to find it somewhere else.

From the outside, it just looks like a sad existence to lead when people you hate are what give you purpose and your pursuits meaning.

And we've all been around that person who sees antagonism in everything and always has a sob story in the chamber ready to unload on whoever is willing to listen (or isn't). They have a distinctly repelling effect.

There are a few people in my circle of influence that definitely fit this description. They have terrible back stories that are no fault of their own, but are terrible people as well into 40s and 50s. Sorry about your past, but it doesn't give you an excuse to lash out and drag everyone else down into your pit of despair. You just have to divorce yourself from people like that.

It's certainly not true of everyone that suffered trauma, but there is certainly a pattern there.

Exactly. People like this are just addicted to outrage. Half of their issues are made up, and they'll just continue to make up new ones

When low income neighbourhoods filled with locals who refuse to leave their insanely valuable land are burnt to the ground and those same people are then epicly failed by the system that's designed to support them in every conceivable way. It becomes our role as responsible citizens to aggressively adhere to the narratives put forth by the government and legacy media companies.
LOL. Go take a cold shower.

He was to close to the truth and that is dangerous. Big CP needed to protect their interests and make sure no one can learn about what our posts are really being used for.

Now you’re just being ridiculous. Why would the mods use the sin bin to silence someone when they have perfectly good space lasers just waiting to vaporize troublemakers?

I think it was Carl Sagan who said that when people believe in the ridiculous they'll continue to find supportive stuff despite everything because it's too painful to admit you've been had

Edit:
Here it is!

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

It's more than likely, it's reality. We saw it with Kenney.
