With the current water ban in Calgary is pressure washing my garage door in order to strip off the old paint so I can repaint allowed? I read this page:
https://www.calgary.ca/water/custome...in-effect.html
It doesn't explicitly say it's not allowed, but the rule about "don't clean exterior building surfaces" seems to cover the spirit of what I want to do. Thoughts?

Does it need to be done?
That would kinda be my guide.
If you can delay it, the water ban might not be in affect in early Sept.

Idk, man. Doesn't seem frivolous or unreasonable to me. You're not washing; you're stripping. A garage door isn't that big relative to, like, washing your whole house. It is a say go for it. Our summers are short and if you have time and the weather is on your side right now just get it done.

Always ask, “do I want to be responsible for the “we thought it was obvious, but now we need to explicitly tell people”” addendum.

I think it’s necessary home maintenance so would be permitted and reasonable.

Game starting shortly, apparently the L.A. area just had an earthquake as well that some reporters claim on twitter they could feel from the stadium. Game still on. Lol
EDIT: Just saw on Twitter

So...did they postpone the football game in favour of Sumo Wrestling?
I suppose that the people need a show...

It would be much handier to canoe from the outfield pavilion to the Uber lot rather than all those effing stairs.

It's a real picture, but apparently Fake News. Roughly an inch of water in the parking lot.
https://thespun.com/more/mlb/dodger-...al-truth-photo

In reality, those photos are somewhat of an optical illusion. The parking lots are asphalt and concrete and, while they are probably very wet, they are likely not under very much water, but rather just creating the look of a flooded venue.
Instead, the inch or two of water covering the Dodger Stadium parking lots is reflecting up into the sky and creating the impression that everything has flooded.
"It may look like it is flooded, but it is probably less than an inch of water. Dodger Stadium is built on a giant hill. The asphalt there is very uneven, and looks wavy when wet. You can still see some of the parking lot lines and triangular flower beds,"

I was thinking the same thing. I've been to Dodgers stadium and it's one of the last areas that would be flooded given the topography of the area. Perhaps there is just a little "bowl" effect going on with the parking lot?

It's not flooded but rather the sheen from the parking lot being so wet makes it look like it's flooded. The field is down from parking lot level in a lot of places. The stadium isn't water tight in those places, so how is the field not flooded if the parking lot is flooded?

It's probably built at a higher elevation.

But the stadium is far from flooded, Joe Jareck, the senior director of public relations for the Los Angeles Dodgers, told Insider on Monday.
When asked if the ballpark was underwater, Jareck said, "The stadium is not flooded and open for business, per usual."
Jareck told Insider he has "no idea" whether the photos and videos are faked or if they are real.
"I think people may see what they want to," he said, referring to online reports of a flooded ballpark. "I just see a very wet parking lot."
